The most iconic dresses in movie history

Cinema manages to fascinate the viewer in many ways, also in terms of fashion. It stages wonderful (and often very expensive) costumes that become icons of Hollywood. In this gallery, you can admire the most emblematic outfits in the history of film.

Let's start with the charming and unsurpassed Audrey Hepburn in 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', wrapped in her elegant black satin sheath dress signed by Hubert de Givenchy. It was a model that marked the beginning of a new era for women's fashion.

The costume designer, Marilyn Vance, told the Hollywood Reporter that every dress, including the red dress pictured, was tailor-made for Roberts' character, making everything in couture style.

The beautiful Sophia Loren appeared in the film 'Arabesque' wrapped in meters and meters of powder pink organza - a dress designed by Marc Bohan of Dior.

Another unstoppable female protagonist of the big screen who made history in cinema: Rossella O'Hara, played by Vivien Leigh in 'Gone with the Wind'. Her sparkling red dress worn at the party at Melania's house is one for the ages.

Again the 90s, but this time with one of the most Oscar-winning films in Hollywood history, 'Titanic'. In the photo, the costumes worn by Rose and Jack (Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio), which were designed by Deborah Scott.

The famous film of the 70s, set in the 50s: we are talking about the musical 'Grease'. In this scene an unforgettable Olivia Newton-John wearing skinny pants and a strapless top, in a total black that everyone still remembers.

We do not want to show you only glamorous dresses in this gallery, but also other models that have managed to become immortal, such as the blue and white checkered apron with the shirt worn by Judy Garland in 'The Wizard of Oz'.
