The Ligue 1 is home to some of the biggest stars in football, but also to some of the most astronomical salaries in the game. These are the 30 players with the highest gross monthly salary in French football, according to L'Équipe.
AS Monaco's Aleksandr Golovin and Kevin Volland share 30th place with a gross monthly salary of 300,000 euros.
The Monaco duo is preceded by Nantes's Moussa Sissoko, who earns 310,000 euros a month.
Former Arsenal and current Olympique Marseille midfielder Mattéo Guendouzi takes 28th place, with 320,000 euro a month.
Another Olympique Marseille player, earning exactly the same amount as Guendouzi (320,000 euro).
Next up is Marseille's Valentin Rogier with 330,000 euros.
Rongier is equalled by teammate Cengiz Ünder (330,000 euros).
Ruslan Malinovskyi earns 20,000 more a month, coming in at 350,000 euros.
We reached the 400,000 euro mark with Lyon's Corentin Tolisso.
Which is exactly the same salary as teammate Dejan Lovren (400,000 euros).
Together with Tolisso and Lovren Jérôme Boateng is the second highest-earner at Olympique Lyon with 400,000 euros a month.

With a gross monthly salary of 450,000 euros, former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is Olympique Lyon's top earner.

The second lowest-ranked PSG player in this list, Carlos Soler earns 500,000 a month.
That's 40,000 less than teammate Renato Sanches (540,000 euros).
Fabian Ruiz, too, earns 540,000 euros a month.
The highest-paid player at Marseille, Jordan Veretout comes in at a gross monthly salary of 550,000 euros.
Leaving Veretout far behind, Presnel Kimpembe is worth 640,000 euros a month.
Wissam Ben Yedder is the highest-ranked non-PSG player on this list, earning 650,000 euros a month.
The top ten is completely dominated by PSG, with Nordi Mukiele taking tenth place with 700,000 euros.
Spain's Juan Bernat has a slightly better contract, with 730,000 a month.
Sergio Ramos, Bernat's fellow countryman, takes home 791,600 euros every month.
The highest-paid goalkeeper in French football, Gianluigi Donnarumma pockets a gross monthly salary of 916,000 euros.
1,083,000 euros is what Achraf Hakimi can look forward to when the end of the month is near.
That's almost 120,000 less than Marco Verratti, who comes in at 1,200,000 euros a month.
Donnarumma negotiated the same contract as Marquinhos, with the Brazilian taking home 1,200,000 as well.
Ranked third, Lionel Messi earns an astronomical gross monthly salary of 3,375,000 euros a month.
