Scottish clubs Celtic and Rangers charged the most for away tickets in European competitions in the 2022-23 season, with the average Celtic away ticket costing €69.45 (£58.46, $76.65) and Rangers' costing €68.85 (£57.95, $75.98).
The Football Supporters Europe group conducted a survey that found 12 of the 32 Champions League teams charged €70 (£58.92, $77.25) for an away ticket at least once in the 2022-23 campaign.
According to the City AM website, in the upcoming 24/25 season, the maximum ticket prices for away fans will be €60 (£50.50, $66.21) in the UEFA Champions League, €40 (£33.67, $44.14) in the UEFA Europa League, and €20 (£16.83, $22.07) in the UEFA Conference League.
In the 25/26 European campaign, prices will drop to €50 (£42.08, $55.18) in the UEFA Champions League, €35 (£29.46, $38.63) in the UEFA Europa League, and still €20 (£16.83, $22.07) in the UEFA Conference League.
The decision comes after extensive discussions between the FSE and the European Club Association (ECA) to improve away fans' experience. It reflects the shared commitment between UEFA and their stakeholders to put fans first.
The UEFA website reports that UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin said: "Today's decision marks another key step in reaffirming UEFA's commitment to enhancing the matchday experience for all fans."

"By introducing more fan-friendly policies, we continue our mission to keep football as an inclusive sport where supporters who travel across Europe to follow their teams are valued and recognised."
Ronan Evain, Executive Director of FSE, said: "The revised price caps are further recognition of how integral away fans are to the atmosphere of European club fixtures. Today's decision illustrates another positive achievement in FSE's joint work with UEFA and clubs on improving conditions for fans traveling across Europe."
The decision to reduce the ticket price caps comes in the wake of UEFA's new look league format for the group phase of European competitions, where 36 teams will compete rather than 32.
Instead of playing three away games in the group phase like the previous format, each team will play an extra away game, extending the group phase from six matchdays to eight.
