The best moments of Kylian Mbappe's unveiling at Real Madrid

More than 80,000 people gathered in the Santiago Bernabeu to welcome their new gladiator, Kylian Mbappe! His arrival at the Spanish capital has mirrored many similarities to Cristiano Ronaldo's welcome in 2009. Both fans and club board were ecstatic, and the energy was extra vibrant inside the newly renovated stadium.

The Real Madrid-Kylian Mbappe saga dragged on for 7 years. After intricate negotiations and strategic planning by Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu welcomed its new number 9.

The event began with the arrival on stage of Florentino Perez, Jose Martinez Pirri, and Zinedine Zidane. Euphoric fans chanted as the president set the stage for the big moment. Zidane, although sidelined, was recognized for being the first to spot Mbappe's talent back in 2014, after he invited the young player to a training session.

Florentino Perez was incredibly happy on stage, and during his speech, he emphasized how hard it was to reach this moment, but that the wait and patience were worth it.

Before Mbappe's departure, the club displayed an exciting 7-minute video, showing some of Mbappé's greatest goals.

Once the video ended, 'Nessun Dorma' played in the background, and Mbappe felt, for the first time, what it is like to receive an ovation as a Real Madrid player.

Mbappe was smiling from ear to ear, posing next to the 15 European trophies. It was a euphoric communion with the fans, who continuously chanted his name.

The French forward would share a couple of words with the fans, letting them know how thankful he felt for this opportunity. "Now that my dream has been fulfilled, my other dream is to play up to the expectations," shared Mbappe as fans roared his name.

Fayza Lamari (Mbappe's mother) was tearing up constantly, visibly proud of her son. She worked hard in the negotiations as his representative.

"Wow. It's amazing to be here. It's been a dream for years. I'm a happy guy." Mbappe's first words as a Real Madrid player were enough to flip the stadium upside down!

To finish off, he kissed the team shirt. He looked like a child who just conquered his dream, a dream he's had since 2014.

He also sent a message to the young ones who went to welcome him at the stadium. He underlines how important it is to follow your dreams as a young person, and not give up. Welcome to your new home, Mbappe.
