Ronnie O’Sullivan, how does The Rocket spend his £14m fortune?
Ronnie O’Sullivan is generally regarded as one of, if not the, greatest snooker players of all time. Having just won his eighth Master title, and a whopping £250,000 prize, The Rocket’s CV is as good as any. The seven-time World Champion has picked up plenty of trophies along the way, which come with some very generous prize money, but how does it spend it all?
According to The Sun, O’Sullivan is worth at least £14 million, not bad for a snooker player! Despite his huge wealth, The Rocket has stayed true to himself and has focused on buying things that interest him more than to show off his wealth. For instance, following his Masters win, he told media he was going to celebrate with, “a curry - a massive, dirty curry”.
The Rocket is mostly a modest spender when it comes to all things flashy, but with one exception, cars. In his garage, he has a Ferrari 458 worth £183,000 alongside a Bentley Continental GT worth up to £180,000.

There has certainly been no shortage of supercars in O’Sullivan’s life over the years, with some proving more successful than ever. He once bought an Aston Martin DB9 that he described as, “a bag of ****,” as the, “radio button fell off in my hand. Went to get the door handle and that came off.” Per The Sun.
Despite his flashy motors, O’Sullivan’s favourite car is something slightly more affordable, choosing to drive an Audi RS4 Avant, costing the far more reasonable sum of £57,000.
Despite now being sober, O’Sullivan was known for his massive binges back in his heyday, with multiple nights out with Liam Gallagher from Oasis and Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones. He told the Financial Times, “If there’s 365 days in the year I allow myself the odd binge. That might last one day, two days, three days”.
For those familiar with Regent’s Canal in north and east London, seeing people living on narrowboats is of no surprise, but seeing one of the greatest snooker players of all time popping out with a mug of tea may be a little more shocking. That’s exactly what O’Sullivan did when he bought and lived on a £129,000 luxury canal boat back in 2018.
Whilst living on his narrowboat proved difficult with his busy lifestyle, O’Sullivan has always had a passion for boating, telling The Evening Standard he was planning to, “buy a little RIB (rigid inflatable boat) and explore the lake [District] and just have some fun.”
Constantly restless, The Rocket is known for taking spontaneous trips to wherever takes his fancy. These destinations have included Cambridge, Bruges, and Morocco.
Like many sportspeople, O’Sullivan has used his winnings to grow an enviable property portfolio. In fact, he was tempted to get into flipping houses having been inspired by Home under the Hammer, telling The Evening Standard, “I get excited by it. I used to go around with a mate and we used to buy a lot of stuff, so I’ve got a rough idea about it.”
