The 2024 Paris Olympics are over, and it's been a classic. The Games have provided the world with some of the greatest sporting moments. Here they are!

With 24 Grand Slam tennis titles, GOAT Novak Djokovic knew Paris 2024 would be his last chance at winning gold at the Olympic Games, aged 37. The Serb has battled through poor form and injury to compete at the Olympics and to get the prize he dreamed of winning.

The Serb faced an inform Carlos Alcaraz in the final at Roland Garros, the man he lost to in the Wimbledon final a couple of weeks before. However, Djokovic showed his class, winning the match in straight sets and securing his maiden gold medal.

The USA men's basketball team, labelled 'The Avengers,' took home the gold medal after Steph Curry showed just how much of a superstar he is in the closing minutes of the game. USA Today reports Curry hit four triples in a row in the final 2:47 to secure his first gold medal.

The Golden State Warriors guard finished the game with 24 points, hitting eight of 13 three-point shots. His best shot was his final effort, making a looping shot off the bank after being hounded by Nicolas Batum and Evan Fournier.

USA's Noah Lyles was the biggest talking point heading into the Olympics after claiming he was the fastest man alive before running a single race at the Paris Games. With all the talk, Lyles had to show up, and he did just that in the 100m final.

According to EuroSport, Lyles edged the 100m final by four-thousandths of a second, recording his personal best of 9.79s. Kishane Thompson of Jamaica was the unlucky racer who narrowly missed out on gold. It was one of the closest 100m finals in history.

For France's elite swimmer Leon Marchand, it was a homecoming Olympics he could only dream of having in Paris 2024, drawing electric crowds and thousands of people chanting his name throughout the Games.

Marchand won gold in the 200m Breaststroke, 200m Butterfly, 200m Individual Medley, and the 400m Individual Medley. He also won bronze in the 4x100m Medley Relay. His name will always be linked to the 2024 Olympic Games.

Cindy Ngamba arrived in England from Cameroon as a child. Before being granted asylum, she was arrested and forced to come to terms with potentially facing deportation. Despite help from GB Boxing, her British Citizenship Applications have been rejected by the Home Office.

The IOC Refugee Olympic team was set up at the 2016 Olympics in Rio, and Ngamba has become the first athlete to represent them that has won a medal, winning a bronze in the women's 75kg boxing division.

Belgium's Remco Evenepoel became the first road cyclist in Olympic history to score double gold at the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Belgian star won the individual time trial in horrible rainy conditions before winning the road race.

Belgium's Nafissatou Thiam claimed a record-setting third Olympic gold medal in a row in the ladies heptathlon, consolidating her GOAT status in the sport.

Thiam became the second woman behind Polish hammer great Anita Wlodarczyk to win three Olympic golds in the same athletics discipline. She finished the heptathlon on 6880.
