Madelene Wright: Swapping adult content for the football pitch once again
Madelene Wright, known for her success as an adult content creator, has confirmed her new football club ahead of the 2024/25 season. This marks a significant step in her football career, especially after she hinted at a possible change due to her rising fame in the adult content industry. Wright’s decision to continue pursuing her passion for football, despite her success in other ventures, has generated considerable attention among fans and media.

Wright, who previously played for Leyton Orient, left the club amid speculation that she was preparing for an early retirement. However, the online influencer surprised many by changing her mind at the last moment. She has now signed a deal with Chesham United FC Women, a team competing in the FA Women's National League.
"A massive personal achievement for myself after such a big break from football to be back playing a competitive league and to have jumped up 3 tiers higher, another step closer," Wright wrote on social media after her signing was made public. Is this a step away from adult content to cement her position in her new club?

Madelene Wright was involved in football from a young age, soon playing for Millwall’s youth setup before getting snapped up by local rivals Charlton.
Whilst at Millwall, Wright was investigated by the team after she had posted a Snapchat story of her dog with its paws on the steering wheel of her car as she was driving, per The Mirror.
After her stint at Millwall ended under a cloud, Wright joined Charlton FC, who compete in the second tier of English Women’s football.
After signing with the Addicks in January 2020, Wright found herself in trouble with her new club just a year later.
According to The Sun, Wright was seen on various Snapchat videos inhaling a balloon of laughing gas and drinking a bottle of champagne behind the wheel whilst driving.

After leaving Charlton, Wright was unsure of what to do next, telling The Sun, "After I was sacked, I started thinking if I would be able to play football again, what level I'd be able to play, and will other teams want me at their club."

As a young footballer, it is understandable to make mistakes, but as Wright herself said, again to The Sun, "I felt guilty, embarrassed and disappointed in myself that I showed myself in that light."

When news broke of Wright’s sacking, she became a notorious figure almost overnight and her social media pages blew up as a result, she now has over 300,000 followers on Instagram.

After her presence grew, suddenly Wright was a wanted woman. Companies started to offer her money to advertise their products on her page, "It was almost like one career had ended, while another one was just beginning." Wright told The Sun.

By 2021, Wright had made the decision to venture into the more raunchy side of social media, setting up a service where subscribers pay £24 a month to see the raunchier side of Wright.

Whilst the money came rolling in, Wright had been nervous about stepping into the adult content world, telling The Sun, "My main reason not to do it was the reputation it had, I didn't want to be associated with that kind of thing."

Despite her new-found wealth and success, Wright views her adult content as a stepping stone rather than her long-term plan, with aims to use her finances to grow her own business and become an entrepreneur.
