Liverpool and Arne Slot target Atalanta star to replace Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool will begin a new era next season with new manager Arne Slot. The Dutchman faces a difficult challenge, taking over from Jurgen Klopp, to lead the Reds back to the top of the Premier League and Europe.
Slot's arrival coincides with the possible departure of other names, such as Thiago Alcantara, whose contract at Anfield expires on 30 June 2024.
To replace the Spaniard, Liverpool could look to recruit Ederson from Atalanta, according to Tuttosport.

The 24-year-old Brazilian was an integral part of La Dea's successful 2023/24 campaign, in which they won the Europa League and finished fourth in Serie A.
Ederson made 52 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing one assist, per Transfermarkt.
The Brazilian's current contract runs until mid-2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €30m (£25.5m/$32.6m), which is a good deal in today's market.
Atalanta recruited Ederson in 2022 from Salerntitana, where he impressed in just 15 appearances (2 goals, 1 assist).
He has previously played for Brazilian clubs Desportivo Brasil, Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Fortaleza (on loan), and is still looking for his first cap for Brazil.
Liverpool have also reportedly watched Ederson's team-mate Teun Koopmeiners on several occasions, but the Brazilian could be the first to join Anfield in a midfield featuring Alexis Mac Allister, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai.
