Johnny Fisher: British TikTok sensation turned Heavyweight boxing prospect
Johnny Fisher is the TikTok and internet sensation, who with his dad, 'Big John,' have amassed 100,000s of followers by saying their popular catchphrase 'Bosh.'
He and his dad have grown a loyal fanbase from their internet fame, and they call themselves the 'Romford Bull Army.'
Fisher posts TikTok with his dad and has risen to fame with his famous Chinese takeaway videos, but since his boxing career has taken off, 'The Romford Bull' has started sharing videos of his preparation for fights.
Fisher continued his rise as a heavyweight boxer last weekend, defeating fellow heavyweight Harry Armstrong on the Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius undercard.
The heavyweight prospect came out the blocks early, unleashing a barrage of punches and knocking Armstrong down within the first few seconds.
'The Romford Bull' slowed the fight down for the next few rounds, getting behind his jab and dictating the remainder of the bout.
In the seventh round, Fisher demonstrated his venomous power, landing a thunderous overhand right that dropped Armstrong to the canvas and finished the fight.
The knockout victory helped him gain the first belt of his professional career, winning the Southern Area Title.
Fisher now moves to a record of 10-0, winning nine by knockout and boxing only 29 rounds in those ten fights.
The first belt of his professional career has a much deeper sentiment for Fisher, who dedicated the win to his Grandad, who sadly passed away.
According to Matchroom Boxing, Fisher said: "I did it for my Grandad, he was a big part of my life and it means a lot to me that I will be able to take this (the belt) to him."
His promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Fisher is ready to become a real prospect in the heavyweight division and not just a popular entertainer.
According to BBTV Boxing, Hearn said: "I think I said yesterday, he's now gone from ticket seller to prospect, a real legitimate British heavyweight prospect with a massive future."
Fisher has his eyes set on a return to the ring on foreign soil, saying 'The Bull Army' deserve an 'Away Day' and would like to get on a potential Joshua versus Deontay Wilder undercard in Saudi Arabia.
The next natural step for Fisher is a British Heavyweight Title, a feat that looked impossible for a person who only started boxing properly two years ago.
For the 'Romford Bull Army,' 'Big John,' and Johnny Fisher, the opportunities look endless in his boxing career, selling out stadiums and potentially challenging for bigger belts in the future.
