Harry Kane is off to Germany - transfer agreed with Bayern!
Per David Ornstein of The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement over the transfer of Harry Kane. After much deliberation, Kane agreed to the transfer.
In Ornstein’s tweet, he reports the North London club have agreed to the sale of Harry Kane at a price of €100 million. This is right in the ballpark of the reported valuation Spurs had put on their talismanic captain. Kane will sign a four-year contract in Munich.
For the past nine seasons, Kane has been one of the best players in the Premier League. Consistently scoring 20+ league goals and keeping Tottenham in contention for Champions League football.
For Kane, this summer felt like the defining moment of his career. He needed to make a final decision on his career, does he stay at Tottenham, or go abroad and try to win trophies?
Kane turned 30 so can no longer be considered a young player, if he turned down a move this Summer, he would almost certainly have signed a new contract at Spurs and played his entire career there.
Since Robert Lewandoski left in 2022, Bayern have been searching for a replacement. The Pole has proved a difficult man to replace, but one of the few who can is Harry Kane.
