Former UFC fighter tragically killed in motorcycle crash
Geane Herrera, who used to compete in the UFC’s flyweight division, has died following a motorcycle crash in Florida, per The Daily Mail.
Per TMZ Sports, Herrera was traveling at a “very high rate of speed” on Saturday, May 18th, when he crashed into the back of another vehicle.
TMZ’s report continues, claiming Herrera was subsequently thrown hundreds of feet before colliding with a concrete barrier.

As The Daily Mail writes, following the crash, Herrera's motorcycle, “burst into flames.”
Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene, per reports, while the driver of the other vehicle involved was left unharmed.
Herrera’s time in the UFC was short, fighting just four times, including a debut defeat to Ray Borg, per TNT Sports.
Borg released a tribute to Herrera on Instagram, writing, “He was a good guy, my prayers are with him and his family during this tough time.”
Following his UFC career, Herrera fought in the Bare Knuckle Championship, where he fought and beat Abdiel Velazquez via TKO, per TNT Sports.
Herrera’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money following Herrara’s death. On the fundraising page, they wrote, “Our family is devastated by the tragic loss of our beloved Geane Carlos Herrera, known in the professional fighting world as 'La Pulga'.”
Per his family’s GoFundMe, Herrera is survived by, “his three-month pregnant girlfriend, mother, father, sisters, a brother”.
