Baldock's family has not yet reacted. The Sun reports that it was his wife, who lives in the UK, who raised the alarm when she could not locate the footballer.
According to the newspaper, his wife was unable to contact him in any way, so she contacted the owner of the house in Athens and asked him to go and check if everything was all right.
When the owner arrived at the house, the footballer's lifeless body was found in the pool, with many questions yet to be answered.
The Sun added that police are investigating the case to find out what happened on that fateful 9 October.
Baldock was born in Buckingham, England, and followed his grandfather's Greek roots to play for the Greek national team, for which he made 12 appearances, according to Transfermarkt.
