English fans disgusted with Euro 2024 organisation: 'Embarrassment to a major tournament'

England failed to pick up another three points against Denmark, as Gareth Southgate's men put on a poor display against the Scandinavians. English fans were left disappointed, but not only because of the 1-1 draw.

During the match, many fans were surprised by the poor condition of the pitch at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. One fan even said on X, "That pitch is bloody awful. It’s an embarrassment to a major tournament."

"Never seen a pitch crumble like this during a game," someone else agreed.

"I've had slices of bread that have been tougher than this pitch in Frankfurt," another fan was feeling hungry.

"Top marks to the groundsman laying that pitch this morning," another one brought out his best sarcasm.

"The pitch is awful, will look like a ploughed field after 90 minutes," someone looked into the future.

After which, the frustration continued, "This pitch is a disgrace though" and "the pitch is gonna get someone hurt here in the England game!"

That was almost the case when Kyle Walker nearly suffered an ankle injury as the pitch crumbled.

Walker had to leave the pitch, but was able to continue playing.

"A tournament pitch shouldn't be cutting up like this. Looks like the first surface at the new Wembley. Terrible," was the appropriate conclusion to a disappointing 90 minutes of football.
