"Her body did not survive"
"With the deepest pain and sadness, we inform everyone of the death of my beloved daughter Sofía. Unfortunately, her body did not survive," Vitor Valim commented on social media.

Very complicated operation
What had happened? Local media reported that the Brazilian influencer was rushed to the hospital to get a liver transplant. The hospital had recently found a compatible donor.

"My oldest daughter is going through a serious health situation," her father shared on Instagram on December 5. It "has led her to join the liver transplant list on Tuesday morning."

A donor in 48 hours
Two days later, as confirmed by the mayor of Caucaia himself, a compatible donor appeared. The process of an emergency operation was set in motion. "This morning a compatible donor was found and the surgery was performed successfully," Vitor Valim told his followers.

Successful surgery but no response afterward
After the operation, María Sofía Valim spent 48 hours under observation to check if her body responded correctly to the new organ. Sadly, the young influencer did not progress with the new liver. She lost her life on December 9.
