We are here to save you from those awkward moments!

Sitting down to check out a new TV show with your parents, can make for a nice relaxing evening. However, things can get awkward pretty quickly if the content of the show gets raunchy.

You've been warned!

No matter how cool your parents are, nobody enjoys watching intimate scenes with mom and dad. To help you avoid those awkward moments and scandalizing/traumatizing your parents forever, we've created a list of the most scandalous TV shows out there.

Bonding - Netflix

'Bonding' is a dark comedy about two high school best friends who bond over...well...bondage. The main characters are Tiff, a psychology student working as a dominatrix to pay for school, and her gay friend Pete, her assistant.

A must watch -only while alone!

There are so many scenes that are so bizarre and awkward enough to watch ALONE, never mind, with mom and dad in the room!

Who is America?- Amazon Prime, Hulu

Sacha Baron Cohen's 'Who is America?' is so hilarious, you need to make sure not to watch it with a full bladder!

Cohen goes places others do not dare!

However, in typical Cohen humor, he goes places that most do not, which leads to some great but awkward comedy moments. A mild example would be when one of the characters Cohen plays makes a paintbrush out of p*bes from celebrities. Ewww!

Sex Education - Netflix

When it comes to 'Sex Education,' the name says it all. It tells the story of a teen boy named Otis, whose mother, played by Gillian Anderson, is an "intimate" couple's therapist.

A teenage sex therapist

Even though Otis is very ambivalent about getting intimate with anyone, he somehow ends up making money by being the unofficial sex therapist at school for his classmates. The awkward scenes of teenagers "exploring" are endless. Don't watch with the parents unless you want to end up hiding under a blanket the whole time!

Love - Netflix

Jude Apatow's 'Love' examines modern dating in LA. In the very first episode, the protagonist finds himself in an uncomfortable situation when the two girls he is trying to have a threesome with end up being sisters. Oops!

Photo: Netflix

Hilarious but could lead to awkward conversations

There are plenty more similar scenes in the series, along with lots of "substance" use. While it is a very funny show, it could lead to some strange conversations with your parents if they catch you watching it!

You, Me, Her - Netlfix

'You, Me, Her' tells the story of how this 'thruple' was formed and all their trials and tribulations as a threesome.

A guilty pleasure

The show is FULL of hot and steamy moments, along with plenty of drama. Keep this guilty pleasure a secret.

Too Hot to Handle - Netflix

On 'Too Hot To Handle,' a group of good-looking 20 somethings are put up together at a resort. If they manage not to break the rule of not having any physical intimate contact, they can win $100,000; even kissing is off-limits.

Hot and heavy scenes with the 'rents is just uncomfortable

As you can imagine, the contestants have a tough time abiding by the rules. The sexual tension runs HIGH in this show, and as things get hot and heavy, you really don't want your mom sitting next to you.

Paradise PD - Netflix

'Paradise PD' is very much so an adult cartoon. From the creators of 'Brickleberry,' the show follows the Paradise police force's story and all the shenanigans they get into while in the line of duty.

Absurd and silly

Nothing is off-limits, from shooting off private parts to a police dog attempting to convince a pastor's daughter to partake in an 'adult' activity with him. This silly show is great for laughs but unless your parents are the coolest on the planet, watch it alone.

Sex and the City - Amazon Prime, HBO

This show is a classic, and depending on how old you are, your mom may already be a fan.

A show that will make you blush

That being said, the topics and awkward situations related to intimacy will definitely make you blush if you are watching with your folks.

Vampire Diaries - Netflix, Amazon Prime

Vampires are sensual beings as it is, and this risqué show is just too full of hot and steamy moments to be watching with the 'rents.

An addicting show....to watch in private

Tablets and smartphones exist for a reason; if you decide to watch 'Vampire Diaries,' you will get hooked, so get ready for some marathon sessions in the privacy of your bedroom!

Girls - Amazon Prime, HBO

'Girls' is about a group of 20 something's finding their way as adults in New York City. There is plenty of nudity and the demystification of intimate encounters; on the show, they are: messy, awkward, and often not very pleasurable.

Photo: HBO

Painfully real

While we love this realistic depiction, it is best enjoyed NOT in the company of those that raised you. In one episode, the protagonist Hannah even walks in on her parents doing it in the shower -eeek!

Secret Diary of a Call Girl - Amazon Prime

While you and your mom may have both wondered what the life of a call girl is like, we'd recommend you don't watch this show to find out together. 'Secret Diary of a Call Girl' tells the story of a high-end call girl and her very posh clients in London.

Funny but also embarassing

While we cracked up while watching and learning about all of her clients' bizarre requests, doing so with your parents could lead to some traumatizing discoveries about your folks' secret delights!

Are You the One? - Netlfix

This reality show puts ten men and ten women together in a house, and they must find their perfect match. If they all do, as a group, they will win 1 million dollars!

Any show with a "boom-boom-room" is not to be watched with your parents

The contestants have previously been put through exhaustive match-making tests and are guaranteed to have a perfect match there. As the participants get to know one another, things get heated. Let's just say any show with a "boom-boom room" is a "no-no" to watching with your parents!

Looking - Amazon Prime, HBO

'Looking' offers an inside look into the lives of three gay men living in San Francisco.

You don't want to watch while listening to your parents comments

Aspects of  gay culture that were once taboo are explored, and it could be more than a little mortifying to be there while your parents are brought up to speed.

Queer as Folk - Amazon Prime

'Queer as Folk, ' much like 'Looking', is an inside look at gay relationships and culture. If your folks aren't already in the loop on these matters, it is not your duty to watch this show with them.

Avoid awkward questions...

Let them discover it on their own and save yourself from having to sit beside them on the sofa while they ask you what poppers are.

Big Mouth - Netflix

Puberty is an embarrassing time, and that is basically what 'Big Mouth' is all about. This hilarious series follows a group of 7th graders and their puberty-related struggles: hormone monsters, wet dreams, and more.

Photo: Netflix

A show best watched with your besties

Going through puberty once is humiliating enough; there is no need to relive those moments with our parents!

Photo: Netflix

South Park - Netflix, Amazon Prime

Don't ruin the joy of laughing until your belly hurts at inappropriate jokes by watching this show with your mom and dad. South Park is a classic, and they make fun of just about everything and everyone in the rudest way possible.

Photo: Netflix

Don't watch it with people who will judge you!

Don't ruin your experience by watching the show with people who may judge you for your sense of humor.

Game of Thrones - HBO

'Game of Thrones' is epic and deserves to be watched and re-watched 100 times.

Wait until they got to bed to enjoy it 100%!

However, if you live at home and your parents are a bit uptight, watching the many scenes of passion in the show together could ruin the show for you. So maybe it might be best to save this show for once the parental units have gone to bed.

Orange is the New Black - Netflix

'Orange is the New Black' is full of drama, comedic moments, and close relationships between women. The outspoken characters on the show often don't have a filter and speak about their love lives without any qualms.

Photo: Netflix

Watching this show with your parents may make you blush!

The program also depicts many stolen passionate moments between the inmates, so definitely not to be watched with your folks if you blush easily.

Skins - Netflix

So much happens in high school; there are so many ups and downs. 'Skins' depicts a group of UK teens as they struggle with high school life and all that comes with it.

A show that touches on all bases

The show covers everything from eating disorders to intimate relations to substance abuse. If you watch with your parents, you could get caught up in the drama and reveal something you have preferred to keep private about your past.

Easy - Netflix

This comedy-drama follows different people as they navigate love and relationships along with other aspects of adulting.

Photo: Netflix

Many cringe-worthy scenes

Each episode is full of funny, cringe-worthy scenes, and the show definitely isn't prudish when depicting the characters' love lives either. Watch with caution when the family is at home!

Photo: Netflix

Family Guy - Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+

Family Guy is one of the best-animated comedy television shows out there. The writers on this show have no limit, and they are willing to go to places where many others don't dare.

Raunchy is an understatement

This leads to some really bizarre and raunchy scenes. If you watch with your parents you won't be able to laugh as freely, so do yourself a favor and watch in a room with the door closed!
