Stars and their cars: Celebrities with a need for speed

Everyone has a hobby. A lesser known fact about this award-winning pop singer and actress is that she is a major car enthusiast, having a fantastic collection of cars.

Gaga's collection is, to say the least, wide in variety. She is not only a speed freak, but also owns a Ford Bronco for her off-roading moments and not just one, or two, but three different Rolls-Royces, for some luxury time. However, her favourite is a classic. The 1965 Lincoln Continental with a red leather interior and striking wire-spoke wheels. A visually spectacular ride .

'Avatar', 'Resident Evil' and, of course, 'The Fast and the Furious'. In her acting career, Michelle Rodriguez has flown helicopters, crashed around in trucks evading zombies and raced fast cars alongside Vin Diesel. She has been seen to do a few of her own stunts, but knows just how risky it is in the fast lane.

The star regularly visits the race tracks, most notably at Exotics Racing a few times a year. Rodriguez also has a serious car collection, including a $450,000 Lamborghini Aventador which goes from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. Fast and Frivolous?

More commonly known as Mr. Bean, he is a celebrity who lives in the fast lane. Not only does he enjoy the sport and even racing on occasion, he owns a rather nice (and expensive) collection of cars.

The 'Johnny English' and 'Blackadder' star has in his collection a McLaren F1. The McLaren F1 is said to be one of the rarest and fastest cars in history valued at over fifteen million pounds. He famously crashed it in 2011. He also has in his collection an Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato, Aston Martin DB2, and a lot of other fast cars. It is safe to assume that there is more to Mr Bean than just his yellow mini.

The ex-England Captain and co-owner of Inter Miami C.F also has a fine selection of cars. Beckham has been seen sporting a McLaren MP4-12C Spider. The car is already one of the highest performance cars in the world. It has a top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h).

Not only this, he also owns an Audi S8, a high-powered car with an engine output of 520 horsepower. Perhaps his next venture might be in the world of racing, as the star also has in his car collection a Bentley Continental GT SuperSport and an array of other fast cars.

AKA Mr Nasty, entrepreneur, and record executive. Rising to fame as a judge on Pop Idol and later X Factor he also has quite a nice car collection in his garage.

In 2007, he purchased a Bugatti Veyron. It’s powered by a massive 16-cylinder engine that is a marvel of modern engineering, capable of propelling this hypercar to 300 mph and beyond. However, he is more often seen driving his twin-turbocharged Rolls Royce Phantom.

Ex model, TV presenter and an automobile buff. She participated in Top Gear’s Star In A Reasonably-Priced Car segment and clocked the fastest time in it in the Suzuki Liana  (Series 2). She was later overtaken by Simon Cowell (Series 3).

After her excellent performance, Maserati extended an invitation for her to join the Toora VIP team. In 2004, Jodie participated in her third race and finished first. However, after a crash, she retired from pro racing; but did drive in Gumball 3000 on several occasions.

Still one of the biggest box office stars in Hollywood. This credit first and foremost comes from his acting skills, but also his dedication to his craft and the way he handles himself on a bike or in a car. His love for speed reportedly comes from way back when he filmed, 'Days of Thunder'.

When he took part in the 'Star In A Reasonably-Priced Car' on 'Top Gear', he actually crossed the finish line on two wheels! He set a new lap record, and according to RedBull, was invited to go for a ride in their victorious F1 car.

Former WWE superstar and actor Dwayne Johnson, commonly known as "The Rock," has a thing for really fast cars. The Rock has in his car collection a 2017 Ford GT. The Ford GT is a teardrop-shaped sports car with a V6 engine and 647 horsepower and a starting price of half a million dollars. It reaches a top speed of 216 mph.

He also owns a Pagani Huayra, which is one of the most expensive cars on the planet. This one will set you back about 2 and a half million dollars. Other cars in his garage include; a Ferrari Laferrari, Lamborghini Huracan, and more.

The Grey’s Anatomy actor is extremely accomplished behind the wheel. He has done an awful lot of racing, but his enjoyment of the adrenaline sport only started at a later time in his life. In fact, he has now totalled 68 races including the World Endurance Championship.

McDreamy has a range of classic cars. One of those being the Jaguar XK120 and another being his 1982 Porsche 911, which was upgraded with a 3.6 litre engine for more power. His most interesting ride has been the Lotus Exige S, which is one he drives on a daily occasion. It is an immensely fast car - perfect for a guy with a thirst for speed.

The former Hannah Montana star and now musician in her own right is as wild as the cars she drives. For her 16th birthday she received a Porsche Cayenne with blacked-out windows and black-rimmed wheels. This inspired a love for four-wheeled automobiles.

She is also the proud owner of the Maserati Quattroporte, that could do a 0 to 62 mph sprint in about 5 seconds and go up to speeds of 170 miles per hour. Just like Beckham and Lady Gaga, Cyrus owns a McLaren MP4-12C. A car with a real wow factor.

I guess having a dad who worked for Ford might have something to do with the fact that this actor has an affinity for cars. Elba has several exotic cars including a Bentley Continental GT and a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black.

He has also hosted a documentary series on the BBC called Idris Elba King of Speed, in which he travels around the world participating in races. A born car-lover.

Justin Bieber has the finances to afford a major car collection, given that he is one of the richest singers in the world right now. Seeing as he is a car enthusiast, it will come as no surprise that he has quite the collection.

Subtlety having never been his strong point, he has a wild collection of brightly coloured supercars including a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari F430, and a Fisker Karma. Perhaps he just can’t keep his foot off the pedal; here is is being fined for speeding in 2012.
