This new series follows the story of Lucy, played by Jessica Raine, who wakes up every night with terrifying visions at exactly 3:33 am: the time of the devil. Then, Lucy's name is inexplicably linked to a series of brutal murders in the area. Other roles in this suspenseful thriller are for Peter Capaldi and Nikesh Patel.

The School for Good and Evil - October 19 (Netflix)

Best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie) end up on opposite sides of a modern-day fairy tale when they become students at a haunted school. At the institution, girls and boys learn to become heroes and villains in order to maintain the balance between good and evil. The film is based on the famous epic series by Soman Chainani, 'The School for Good and Evil.' It stars Cate Blanchett (as the narrator), Michelle Yeoh, Kerry Washington, Laurence Fishburne, and Charlize Theron.

Conversations with a Killer: The Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes - October 7 (Netflix)

There's a lot of attention for the late serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer these days. First, Netflix premiered the limited series 'Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' with Evan Peters. Now, the platform adds to the hype with new, chilling docuseries featuring bits of interviews with Dahmer while he was in jail.

The White Lotus (T2) - October 30 (HBO)

One of the most awarded series of the past years returns! It started as a miniseries by Mike White ('Enlightened', 2011), but now this HBO satire returns with new stories about wealthy guests dealing with their problems at a luxury resort. A must-watch.

Werewolf by Night - October 7 (Disney Plus)

It's October: time for scary movies! This original Disney Plus and Marvel special is about a werewolf who uses his power to fight evil. He is played by the renowned Mexican actor Gael García Bernal.

Top Gun: Maverick - October 1 (Amazon)

The blockbuster premiered in theatres in May, it was available for payment on streaming services in August, and now finally Top Gun's long-awaited sequel is part of the Amazon Prime subscription. The film follows the students of the U.S. Navy's elite academy as they compete to be the best fighters. Maverick (Tom Cruise) plays a new and of course central part in this new story.

The Sound of 007 - October 5 (Amazon)

The documentary, directed by Mat Whitecross, pulls back the curtain on the remarkable six-decade history of James Bond music. It takes viewers on a journey from Sean Connery's 'Dr. No' (1962) to Daniel Craig's final exit in 'No Time to Die.'

Pennyworth (S3) – October 6 (HBO)

The series follows Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier, who forms a security firm in 1960s London and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and his wife Martha (Emma Paetz) before they become Bruce Wayne's parents. If you haven't seen the first and second seasons of this psychological thriller about superheroes, they are highly recommended.

The Midnight Club - October 7 (Netflix)

From the mind of Mike Flanagan comes a horror series about eight friends hovering between life and death. Eight young patients from a hospice get together every night at midnight to tell each other stories and make a pact: the next one to die will send a signal to the group from beyond the grave. Based on a 1994 novel by Christopher Pike and other works of his making.

Catherine Called Birdy - October 7 (Amazon)

In the English medieval town of Stonebridge, Lady Catherine (known as Birdy) is the youngest daughter of Lord Rollo and Lady Aislinn. Rollo sees his daughter as his way out of financial ruin by marrying her off to a rich man for money and land. However, Birdy, like all great teen heroines, is feisty, smart, adventurous, and ready to put off any suitor who comes along. A film starring Bella Ramsey.

Luckiest Girl Alive - October 7 (Netflix)

This film tells the story of Ani FaNelli (Mila Kunis), a sarcastic New Yorker who seems to have it all: a coveted position in a fashion magazine, a spectacular wardrobe, and, soon enough, a dream wedding on Nantucket. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of a shocking incident that occurred at the prestigious Brentley School where she was a teenager, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to alter the life she had designed to perfection.

Derry Girls (S3) - October 7 (Netflix)

The third and last season of this successful and funny series finally arrives after 3 years of absence. It was inspired by the adolescence of creator Lisa McGee in a school of nuns in Northern Ireland. Definitely a must-see if you haven't caught up with the first two seasons yet.

Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion - October 7 (Disney +)

A mysterious wrestler's magic mask chooses Violet Rodriguez (an ordinary teenager) as its carrier and turns her into a superheroine. Her name is Ultra Violet. With the mask, she sets out on a mission to collaborate with the city's famous vigilante superhero, Black Scorpion.

The Watcher - October 13 (Netflix)

Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes. Starring Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, Netflix presents this series based on a real case from 2014. It concerns the Broaddus family who was spied on and threatened by a mysterious stalker, calling himself 'The Watcher.'

The Playlist - October 13 (Netflix)

This Netflix miniseries focuses on young Swedish entrepreneur Daniel Ek and his partners, who revolutionized the entire industry by providing free and legal streaming music worldwide. It's a story about how strong convictions, relentless will, access, and big dreams can help small entrepreneurs challenge the status quo and transform the way we listen to music.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow - October 14 (Netflix)

Another Netflix product that prepares us for Halloween! In this film, a father (Marlon Wayans) and his teenage daughter (Priah Ferguson) are forced to work side by side to save their town from a rogue spirit who is wreaking havoc in a very peculiar way: it makes Halloween decorations come to life!

Unsolved Mysteries (S3) - October 18 (Netflix)

This iconic and gripping series returns with more unexplained deaths, disappearances, and strange paranormal activity. It forms part of a special three-week event.

The Peripheral - October 21 (Amazon)

This series is a sci-fi thriller centered around Flynne Fisher (Chloë Grace Moretz), a woman trying to keep the pieces of her broken family together in a forgotten corner of tomorrow's America. 'The Peripheral' is based on the homonymous novel by William Gibson.

From Scratch - October 21 (Netflix)

Zoe Saldana and Eugenio Mastrandrea star in this miniseries inspired by a true story. 'From Scratch' tells the intercultural love story of Amy Wheeler (Saldana), an American girl who, during a study trip in Italy, falls madly in love with Lino, a Sicilian chef.

Argentina, 1985 - October 21 (Amazon)

This film is based on the true story of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo, who investigated and prosecuted Argentina's bloodiest military dictatorship after it ended in the early 80s. Undeterred by the still considerable military influence in the new and fragile democracy, Strassera and Moreno Ocampo assembled a young legal team of dubious heroes for their David vs. Goliath battle. Under constant threat to themselves and their families, they raced against time to bring justice to the victims of the military junta.

Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities - October 25 (Netflix)

This acclaimed Oscar-winning filmmaker is the creator, executive producer, and co-showrunner of 'Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities.' For this series, he has selected a collection of eight never-before-seen stories that will define and challenge the traditional concept of horror. Two of them are del Toro originals.
