Tick, Tick… BOOM! - November 19 (Netflix)

This adaptation of an autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson (who revolutionized theater with 'Rent') is made by Lin-Manuel Miranda, winner of the Pulitzer and Tony awards. 'Tick, Tick... BOOM!' therefore promises to be a feature film of high quality.

The film, set in 1990, tells the story of Jon (Andrew Garfield), a young theatrical composer who works as a waiter in a New York restaurant while writing what he hopes will become the next great American musical. As he fears his time for greatness is running out, Jon must face the same question as everyone else: what are we supposed to do with the time we have?

The Wheel of Time (S1) - November 19 (Amazon)

This series is based on the books by Robert Jordan. Set in a fantasy world only accessible to an limited group of people, a woman named Moiraine roams in the company of five young men and women. She ignites a dangerous crusade that will move around the world.

Dhamaka - November 19 (Netflix)

Director Ram Madhvani, known for 'Neerja' (2016), has made this suspenseful movie for Netflix starring Kartik Aaryan as the cynical former TV news anchor Arjun Pathak. When he gets an alarming call on his radio show, he sees the opportunity for a career comeback, even if he has to cross ethical boundaries for it.

Red Notice - November 12 (Netflix)

Another star-studded production by Netflix, this movie is goofy and suspenseful. When Interpol issues a red notice - the highest warrant for the world's most wanted criminals - John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson), the FBI's top criminologist, gets on the case. His international quest draws him to the very heart of a risky heist, where he is forced to collaborate with the world's greatest art thief, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), to catch the Bishop (Gal Gadot), the most wanted art thief of the planet.

The film's fast-paced adventure takes the trio all over the globe: from a dance floor to a remote prison, deep into the jungle and, worst of all, in each other's constant companionship. The stellar cast also features Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopolous

The Harder They Fall - November 3 (Netflix)

A long-awaited western with a majority black cast, this movie describes the mission for revenge by outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) going after his arch enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba). Also in the cast (and the image) are Regina King and Zazie Beetz.

Touching Bollywood comedy about a couple of newlyweds that is forced to live apart because of work. With Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dasani, directed by Vivek Soni.

The S** Lives of College Girls - November 18 (HBO Max)

This series revolves around four roommates and students at the prestigious New England Essex University. Kimberly is the best high school student from a humble Arizona suburb. She may be loving, ambitious and ready for what college holds for her academically, but once she gets there, she realizes that she isn't prepared for what New England Essex has in store for her socially.

Love Hard - November 5 (Netflix)

A girl from Los Angeles, with a disastrous romantic life, falls in love with a boy from the East Coast through a dating app. When she decides to surprise him for Christmas, she discovers that he's a catfish. Played by Nina Dobrev, Darren Barnet and Jimmy O. Yang.

We Couldn't Become Adults - November 5 (Netflix)

A feckless 40-something, played by Masahiro Higashide, receives an online friend request from an old love. It sparks memories of his past relationships, from the 90s onwards, and it raises again the question: why did she leave him without saying goodbye? This Japanese movie also stars Yuko Oshima and Sairi Ito.

Passing - November 10 (Netflix)

The classic novella filmed in black-and-white with main roles for Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga. In 1920s New York City, a Black woman sees her world turned upside down when she mets an old childhood friend who's passing as white. 'Passing' shows the harshness of racism, where a light-skinned African-American woman has to pretend to be white in order to get accepted in white society.

Kamikaze (S1) - November 14 (HBO Max)

In this Danish series, the 18-year-old Julie is left alone in a huge empty house after her wealthy parents and brother have been killed in a plane crash. From once being a girl who seemingly had everything, she must now re-evaluate everything that she considered important in life.

The Unlikely Murderer - November 5 (Netflix)

On a fateful night in 1986 Stockholm, the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme is assassinated. Police soon have their eye on Stig Engström, a graphic designer whom this limited series describes as 'The Unlikely Murderer.' The Netflix series offers a fictional interpretation of how Engström managed to evade justice until his death thanks to a combination of dare, luck and the confusion of the authorities.

The Princess Switch III - November 18 (Netflix)

The third instalment of this Princess Switch saga is here. It's titled 'Romancing the Star.' After the theft of a valuable relic, Queen Margaret and Princess Stacy enlist the help of Fiona, Margaret's reckless cousin and double. All three roles are played by Vanessa Hudgens. Fiona relies on a handsome and mysterious man from her past to retrieve the treasure, and soon there's a Christmas romance in the stars.

Cowboy Bebop (S1) - November 19 (Netflix)

This action-packed space western is based on the anime with the same name. It follows three bounty hunters - the cowboys - who try to forget their past. As distinct as they are deadly, Spike Spiegel (John Cho), Jet Black (Mustafa Shakir) and Faye Valentine (Daniella Pineda) are a feisty crew ready to hunt down the most dangerous criminals in the solar system… as long as they are paid well for it.

Bruised - November 24 (Netflix)

Jackie Justice (Halle Berry) is a mixed martial arts fighter who falls from grace and quits the sport. Haunted by bad luck and consumed by rage and regret, Jackie is convinced by her boyfriend Desi (Adan Canto) to participate in a brutal underground fight. Her performance catches the interest of a sports promoter (Shamier Anderson), who promises her that she will be able to return to a professional level. Her quest for redemption unexpectedly turns personal, though, when Manny (Danny Boyd Jr.) shows up at her home: he's the son she gave up as a baby.

'Bruised' is the directorial debut of the Oscar-winning Halle Berry. It's a rough and triumphant story about a fighter who regains her strength in and out of the ring when everyone was already knocked out. The cast also includes Adriane Lenox, Sheila Atim, Valentina Shevchenko and Stephen McKinley Henderson.

A Boy Called Christmas - November 24 (Netflix)

Nikolas is an ordinary boy who goes on an extraordinary adventure in the snowy north of the world. His father is supposed to be in Elfhelm, the legendary village of the elves. Accompanied by his faithful mouse and the stubborn reindeer Blitzen, Nikolas soon discovers that he is destined for more than just finding his parent in the snow.

An animated movie from director Amp Wong about a woman who goes to extremes to rescue her sister.

Summit of the Gods - November 30 (Netflix)

This French animated film is an adaptation of the manga by Jiro Taniguchi and Baku Yememakura. It shows how the photographer Fukamachi finds a camera in Kathmandu, Nepal that possibly belonged to the vanished mountaineer George Mallory. After meeting the renowned climber Habu Joji, the two embark on a journey on Mount Everest to unearth a lost piece of history.
