Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song: unconditional love

"You’re absolutely everything. You’re my champion, you’re the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best one I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known."

With these beautiful words, Macaulay Culkin thanked his partner Brenda Song when he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The words he spoke to Brenda Song, expressing how happy their relationship and parenthood of two children made him, was the highlight of the ceremony in December 2023.

The two actors fell in love with each other on the set of 'Changeland' in Thailand in 2017.

The two had a lot in common. Both grew up under the spotlight of Hollywood. Brenda Song was a child model and worked in several Disney and Nickelodeon productions as an actress.

And Macaulay, well, he was famously left behind at Christmas for the movie 'Home Alone'. (But also, don't forget his roles in 'Richie Rich' and 'My Girl'!)

One of the brightest stars of 90s cinema, the wunderkind of the family comedy did not always have it easy as he was growing up.

But now, with his big love, a family, ánd a Hollywood star, it seems the 43-year-old has made incredible progress.

Since 2017, the couple has been inseparable. In addition, Macaulay Culkin has significantly improved his appearance and habits. He's reappeared in film and TV productions and has his own podcast.

In April 2021, the couple welcomed Dakota Song Culkin, named after Macaulay's deceased sister. The little girl stunned the event in a blue suit and a Mohawk haircut.

In late 2022, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song would become parents for the second time after the birth of Carson Song Culkin.

Roughly a year later, the whole family was together to celebrate the unveiling of Macaulay Culkin's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As it turned out, at 43 years old, Macaulay Culkin is not only capable of making people laugh out loud, but he can also make them cry. His speech at the Hollywood Star ceremony was full of emotion and affection.

Many people shed a tear as they heard a clearly emotional Macaulay Culkin call his partner 'the best person I've ever known.' And that was not all.

"You’ve given me just all my purpose, you’ve given me family and after the birth of our two boys, you’ve become one of my three favorite people," he concluded.

It was a speech that went viral on social media, drawing once again the world's attention to a star capable of endearing everyone around him.

Then, returning to the festive atmosphere at the ceremony again, Macaulay ended his speech with a reference to his 'Home Alone' character, Kevin:
"To wrap things up in the spirit of the holiday season, I just want to say Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!"

The former child actor was surrounded by his offspring, siblings, and his 'acquired family' from the 'Home Alone' movies.

Catherine O'Hara, who played the mother of Kevin McAllister in 'Home Alone,' remembered how easy the little actor made it seem to emerge himself in another character. "You made acting look like the most natural thing in the world to do."

"It really was as if we had ambushed the home of this real little boy named Kevin to make a movie and he just went along with it for the fun of it," she said.

"Home Alone was, is, and always will be a global sensation," she continued. "The reason families all over the world can’t let a year go by without watching and loving Home Alone together, is because of Macaulay Culkin."

"Thank you for including me, your fake mom who left you home alone not once but twice, to share in this happy occasion," she added, referring to the storyline of the famous movies. "I'm so proud of you, God bless you."

Macaulay Culkin has gone from being alone at home to being accompanied by Brenda Song, Dakota, and Carson. His friends in Hollywood and his fans around the world support him. It's a leap in quality and quantity worth mentioning.
