Jason Momoa's new reality: homeless

After their separation, Jason Momoa's life changed radically. He filled up his calendar with projects and, as a result, he does not have a house at the moment. Jason Momoa is a homeless man.

Although Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced their separation in 2022, it was only recently that they made their divorce official.

What's more: The divorce documents, reviewed by several American media, indicate that the date of separation was October 7, 2020, almost a year and a half before they made public their decision to separate.

So what, you would ask, didn't he have enough time to search for an apartment? Well, apparently, Jason Momoa has been too busy to find a house. The famous Aquaman has loads of money but is nevertheless homeless.

No. The actor has assured the media that there's no need to be worried about his whereabouts. The Hollywood actor doesn't need a house (yet), because he is filming a new show 'On the Roam', which sounds very apt for his personal situation.

"Bro, I don't even have a home right now. I live on the road," Momoa said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. He brought the news with a calmness that we can imagine from a free spirit like him.

Jason Momoa was born in Hawaii but moved with his mother to Iowa after his parents divorced. His father is a Native Hawaiian. After returning to the island at age 19, Momoa managed to get a role in 'Baywatch,' starting off a successful acting career.

For many of the roles he plays, except the lifeguard in Baywatch, Momoa tends to have lots of facial hair and long, wild manes.

'On the Roam' premieres on January 18 on HBO Max. It is a documentary series in which we see Momoa traveling around the United States, visiting artisans who make art on bicycles, instruments, and many more items.

For this reason, the 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom' (2023) actor is currently living it up on the roads, where people are surprised to see him get out of a car when he visits places for his new program.

"I'm always in these weird places,' he said of his travels for his film career. 'You're gonna find me on the road. It happens all the time. They're like, 'What the h... are you doing in our hometown?'" Momoa explained.

The 44-year-old actor added that he is fascinated by finding inspiration in people who create art with their hands. He says he's really happy he could film this series.

"These are the things I really want to do, and hopefully by doing that and creating something and passing it on to charity,' he said. 'I'm like, "Wow, this feels good." I'm doing what I want to do," he said.

Next, the actor is moving to New Zealand for a while, where he will film the movie 'Minecraft'. As he told Entertainment Tonight, "I hope everyone loves it."

Without a doubt, these projects greatly excite the actor as he is going through an important personal moment. The couple may have announced their separation in 2022 and only divorced recently in 2024, it was a long relationship, after all: 17 years, 4 of which as a married couple.

Bonet was also said to have cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. She also indicated that she wanted joint custody of her two children with Momoa. In addition, no spousal support was requested by either party.

Bonet and Momoa reached an amicable divorce agreement so they could finish the process without lawsuits and not bother their children. It all happened in less than a day. Now Momoa is free as a bird and he might show up in your town someday!
