The Squid Game

The show of the year is going to be an inspiration for millions of people around the world this Halloween. The best thing about 'The Squid Game' is that you have several costume options to choose from. First of all, the doll from the first game of the series: 'Red Light, Green Light'. The group's ringleader could be the doll whilst the other take on the soldiers.

Soldiers

If you're a big group, it's easy: you can go as the soldiers from 'The Squid Game'. It seems pretty simple - a boiler suit with a black fencing mask with some playstation icons drawn in chalk on them.

Contestants

And finally, the option that will see half the world's streets green. One can predict that many this year will put on that green tracksuit which the contestants of 'The Squid Game' wear. Again, it's very simple: A green tracksuit, a white T-shirt, your number and some white Vans. You can choose the number only up to 456 if you opt for this group costume.

Tiger King

The main character of the Netflix series is in jail but his tacky, seventies spirit can live on at Halloween. Depending on how many of you there are in the group, half can go as Joe Exotic and half as tigers.

Dune

Denis Villeneuve's film is generating mixed, though mostly positive, reviews. Still, it goes without saying that it has produced some pretty iconic images that are already part of pop culture. This uniform with the respiratory tube that Timothée Chalamet wears can be used to go as a dystopian group at Halloween.

Stranger Things

Dressing up as the kids from one of the most prominent series of the last few years will always go down well at a Halloween party. What's more, the costumes couldn't be simpler: some 80s shirts, colourful clothes and yesterday's hairstyles. But beware of any paranormal events...

A Clockwork Orange

A classic among classics. An eye-catching and very-easy-to-achieve costume that will, no doubt, have the desired effect. Put on a white jumpsuit and, in the absence of jockstraps, pop your pants over said jumpsuit y voila! You get to be a part of the collection of best Halloween costumes.

The Purge

If you want to dress up as these characters that appear in the film 'The Purge', we advise you to look for this mask, as the key is in the detail. Here's a tip: you can find it online or in specialised costume shops. Saying that, due to the high demand for these special 'Purge' costume masks in recent years, it is actually becoming increasingly easier to find them.

The Purge 2: Anarchy

If you prefer to be more artistic and show off your make-up skills, grab some black and white face paint and get to work! Dressing up as this character is easy. With a good base of white paint, a marked black eye socket and a cross on the forehead, you already have this character from 'The Purge'. If you prefer not to paint your face, you can always resort to masks, you'll be scary wherever you go, especially in a group.

The Purge: Election Year

The costumes of the main characters of 'The Purge' in its third instalment are refreshingly original. Each one dresses in a different way: choose your favourite or draw them out of a hat for some creative fun. In fact, all you really need are some tutus and masks and you can easily dress up as these spooky characters. Paint your masks with a "kiss me", a clown face or as the Statue of Liberty, and you'll all be wearing one of the most striking costumes of the party.

The Twins from 'The Shining'

Grab some blue dresses or long blue t-shirts, pink bows and a hairpin or two. You can dress up as the twins from 'The Shining' as many of you are in your group of friends. Instead of twins from 'The Shining' you can become, for example, the sextuplets. Whether you are male or female, it doesn't matter, anyone can be scary if they wear those clothes and have that look on their faces. It's easy, quick and a safe choice.

Zombies from The Walking Dead

Dressing up as a zombie for Halloween is a sure hit. Set yourself apart from the usual zombies by dressing up as the zombies from 'The Walking Dead'. If you don't know how to create your perfect costume that will make you the zombiest of the zombies: simply choose clothes you don't wear and rip them, stain them, cut them to your liking, your way. Mark some dark circles under the eyes with some eye shadow and, if you dare, buy fake blood, let it drip from the corners of your mouth, and 'hey presto!' your zombie costume is ready!

Michael Jackson and his zombies in Thriller

Want to give the zombie costume a twist? Well, here's one way. Someone in the group can be Michael Jackson who is then accompanied by as many zombies as you like. With a red suit and some mighty good dance moves, we see a flash mob starting...

Ghostbusters

Of course you know the film 'Ghostbusters'. Well, it's a great idea for a Halloween costume - if you haven't thought of it before, perhaps you should have done! With some beige jumpsuits, belts and backpacks you can perfectly imitate the four characters of this film.

The guys from Kiss

The band Kiss dresses like this every time they appear in public and it never hurts to pay them a little tribute. Whether they're one of your favourite bands or not, become them for Halloween and you'll have a very distinctive costume. Black and white paint, mullet wigs and clothes with an awful lot of studs - you'll be the perfect imitation of this peculiar group.

Sui**** Squad

Some of you may have already thought of dressing up as one of the characters from 'Sui**** Squad', right? Well, these are the guys from film that are going to be popular this Halloween. Harley Quinn and her companions have made this film one of the most watched films this year and they have to be represented at a Halloween party. Each of you choose a character, characterise yourselves as best as you can and you'll be ready to stand out from the crowd.

The Addams Family

This is a very recognisable costume that, if done well, can look great in a group. Choose the characters, get together your simple costume (that you can find in many shops), and head on out! People will recognise you for sure and, it makes for some great photo opportunities (especially if you look good in black and white!)

The Munsters

This bizarre family from the 60's TV sitcom can be emulated by any group on Halloween. The grandfather, the mother, the father... pick your favourite character and play 'happy' families at Halloween!

Sabrina

This group costume is taken from the latest version of the Netflix series 'Sabrina'. Choose who will be the main character of your particular story and the rest wear black dresses with lace collars.

The Handmaid's Tale

Another must-have TV costume for Halloween: the girls from 'The Handmaid's Tale'. A dystopian story costume where you will have to find red dresses and tunics and those characteristic white cone hats. They are, in fact, quite simple to make and you can find patterns online. Grab some thicker arts and craft foam and fold it over. Or just use your dog's cone.

Breaking Bad

A Halloween classic: 'Breaking Bad'. The series starring Bryan Cranston gives us a costume that is pretty easy to obtain: yellow jumpsuits and masks that, honestly, could come in handy this day and age.

Interview with the vampire

Dressing up as a vampire or vampiress is a solid staple for any Halloween party. On this occasion, we suggest you dress up in the elegant costumes of the characters played by Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and Kristen Dunst in 'Interview with the Vampire'. Look on the bright side, you won't be cold!

Those meddling kids again!

Scooby-Doo has an unmistakable crew of quirky characters whose costumes are full of color and flair. You can choose to go as Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, Fred, or another Mystery Incorporated adjacent character for Halloween, and it makes for a great group costume idea. You could even bring your dog along as Scooby Doo himself.

Game of Thrones

The memory of this HBO hit is certainly not over. The best thing about this costume idea is that the possibilities are endless... You could simply go as Dany and her dragons, as the entire Stark family or everyone from Hodor to the red woman. If you can't get hold of the costumes, then put on some makeup and be some white walkers!

DC Lego Heros (and villains)

The best thing about a lego costume is it can be put together simply: with a cardboard box and some paint. Make up the rest of the character and you have a very effective Halloween costume. There are so many DC characters to choose from, you will all find one to suit you.
