Tragic news in Hollywood. Actress Jossara Jinaro, who appeared in 'ER,' 'Passions,' 'Collateral Damage' and 'Coco,' among many other films and series, died at the young age of 48.

The cause of Jossara Jinaro's death

The talented and experienced actress passed away from cancer, her husband announced on Facebook. She died in the peace of her home, near her husband and their two young children.

Her husband confirmed the news

"With great sorrow, I announce the passing of my wife, Jossara Jinaro on this date, April 27, 2022," her husband Matt Bogado announced on the actress's Facebook page. "Jossara bravely fought cancer and came home to be surrounded by family."

"She had the most beautiful, kind soul"

"Jossara was an amazing wife, mother, artist, and friend," her husband continued. "She had the most beautiful, kind soul and wouldn't take no for an answer."

Still fighting in her last moments

"Even in her last moments, she was still fighting. She is now resting in peace and will be remembered forever," the message concluded. "Myself, Liam, and Emrys will miss her so deeply, although we know she is in our hearts and guiding us every step of the way."

Veteran actress in 'ER' and other shows

Jossara Jinaro's acting career spanned nearly a quarter of a century. She played parts in successful tv shows, such as 'Strong Medicine,' 'The Closer,' and 'ER.' She was also known for the NBC soap 'Passions.'

The movies on her resume include 'World Trade Center,' 'American Pie 8: Hole in One,' and 'The Interpreter.' In the image, a scene from the film 'Go For It.'

Jossara's friend Andrea Judd remembers her on Facebook as "an amazing mom and a huge hearted friend." She writes: "My favorite memories in recent years have been witnessing Jossara as a mother when I’ve had the opportunity to visit and listening to her explain the world to Liam. She was amazing and glorious and those boys were so lucky to have her... Please keep Jossara’s husband and young sons in your hearts."

"Unquenchable optimism"

Andrea had known Jossara since she was young. She "lived her entire life full of the unquenchable optimism... that she exuded when we were teenagers. Throughout her life she continued to be genuine - and kind - and thoughtful and so very giving!" Andrea writes.

Jossara Jinaro: Brazilian-Colombian

Jinaro was born in 1973 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was raised in Colombia. As a teenager, she moved with her family to the United States.

Jossara Jinari represented Latino artists

By age 16, Jossara was pursuing an acting career. She's been considered an outstanding representative of Latino actors in Hollywood. As Bill Marin writes in his iMDB biography, "Jossara has fought for and been very fortunate to play strong, positive and non-traditional roles for Latinas."

One of those roles was that of Reina in the acclaimed Hulu series 'East Los High.' It described the tough daily life of teenagers in East Los Angeles.

Start in theater

Before TV, there were several live theater roles in which the actress distinguished herself. She began her career playing Janet Jackson in the theme park 'Old Indiana Fun Park' and wowed audiences with her role of Rene in 'Dark Rapture.'

Playwright Henry Ong, a dear friend

Jinaro participated in the play 'The Blade Of Jealousy' of playwright Henry Ong in 2018. Later that year, Ong passed away from cancer. The actress mourned him on Twitter: "Take wings Henry Ong. My heart is heavy."

Last roles for Jossara Jinaro

Sadly, the actress herself would die from the same illness three and a half years later. Her last roles include the animated series 'Nancy Hernandez & The Black Widows' in 2021 and the comedy '10 Tricks' which is yet to be released.
