In a 2022 interview with Complex, he said he hoped 'Euphoria' would help people sympathize with drug addicts. "People don’t understand it... It’s easy to say, ‘Just say no,’ But for someone who is in active addiction... they will throw their whole life away and they will die because of this disease or whatever, and then they will say it’s not a disease because you ‘choose’ to do drugs. You don’t ‘choose’ to do cancer.”
"It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today." With these words, the family of Angus Cloud announced the death of the young actor.
The family statement added that Angus Cloud had buried his father last week and "intensely struggled with this loss".

The actor's family, in fact, said that he was facing a battle with mental health issues and was open about it.
"We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence," the actor's family said.
The statement asks followers to remember Angus Cloud "for his humor, laughter and love for everyone".
He was remembered fondly by his co-stars too. "Angus you were an open soul, with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter," actress Sydney Sweeney wrote. "You will be missed more than you know,
"I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…'they could light up any room they entered' but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I'd like to remember him that way," wrote actress Zendaya. "I'm so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh."
The series' official account, in conjunction with HBO, also released a farewell message to the late actor, noting that he was "a beloved part of the HBO and 'Euphoria' family".

In 'Euphoria', the character played by the actor, Fez, was going to die in the first season, but it had such an impact that the producers abandoned the idea.
As a result, Fez began to carry more and more weight and ended up being like a brother to Rue (Zendaya).
In the third season, according to 'The Hollywood Reporter', his presence in the series would be reduced.
'Euphoria' was his acting debut. Afterward, he was featured in two films: 'The Line' and 'North Hollywood'.
He was discovered in a restaurant, where he worked, in Brooklyn. Although he went to the same school as Zendaya, he didn't know her before the show.
Angus Cloud was also seen in music videos by artists such as Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, and in the song MAMIII (pictured), by Becky G and Karol G.
Angus Cloud was also the face of brands like Puma, Ralph Lauren, and Rockstar. The 'Euphoria' series made him a Gen Z icon. Sadly, it was gone too soon.
