Undoubtedly inspired by other celebrity reality shows such as 'Celebrity Big Brother' and 'Naked and Afraid,' this new show got nine celebrities to give up the good life and spend some time roughing it in the jungles of Panama.

Even though it took place in the jungle, 'Beyond the Edge' was different from shows like 'Survivor.'

Celebrities had to see if they "have the grit to withstand torrential downpours, scorching heat and deadly wildlife while living in the exotic Panama jungle," according to CBS.
In addition, there weren't any judges or eliminations on 'Beyond the Edge.' The competitors relied "on their inner fortitude, physical ability, and courage, and have faith in their teammates to endure in the wild."
Every day they lasted in the jungle, the celebrities would earn money towards their charity. However, if they couldn't take it anymore, they could ring a bell to go home. And that happened more than once in this season.

Why would they do this to themselves, you ask? All in the hope of winning money for their charity of choice.
