Did you know these TV series and films have their own cookbooks?
The official Peaky Blinders cookbook was released in March 2022 and contains no less than 50 recipes. With the inspiration obviously being the iconic show: the locations and the warm and hearty family meals, it could be one to put British food back on the map.
The book gives us a range of different recipes - some of which are from their more ‘upmarket’ venues, such as the glamorous Eden Club and giving us offerings like ‘Grilled Oysters with parmesan crumb’; while others are much more from Shelby’s family meals. We are drooling at the vegetarian glazed celeriac steaks with breadcrumbs and herbs.
The ‘out of this world’ cookbook. Yes, it may seem strange at first but this family cook book really provides some tantalising recipes, based on the theme of the famous time lord and his journeys.
Cast and crew even contributed to this book and we especially love the K-9 gingerbread 'house', shaped like the futuristic pet. Also, we must mention the Dalektable Army of cup cakes. Genius.
A book for those who watched GOT, and the six people across the globe who didn’t. With so many important scenes taking place at feasts and banquets, this book is a treasure chest of cuisine.
The Wall: Rack of Lamb and Herbs; Pork Pie; Mutton in Onion-Ale Broth; Mulled Wine; Pease Porridge
The North: Beef and Bacon Pie; Honeyed Chicken; Aurochs with Roasted Leeks; Baked Apples
The South: Cream Swans; Trout Wrapped in Bacon; Stewed Rabbit; Sister’s Stew; Blueberry Tarts.
More than 150 Magical Recipes for young wizards to experiment with. This book has some simple recipes and others which may need a seasoned helping hand to chip in. But for Harry Potter fans this book is a must.
We just love a good Yorkshire pudding and this book provides a springboard for the dish, introducing it to the rest of the world. Oh and a special mention to the English strawberry trifle. Harry is British, after all...

The Modern Family Cookbook celebrates the chaos and humour of the family kitchen table. Jay's Sloppy Jay's, Gloria's Carnitas al Diablo, and other delicious dishes.
The recipes are fine. But what really makes this special are the funny stories that go along with this cookbook. Great memories of a great series.
The book features recipes for meals featured on the show, also food and drinks inspired by characters and locations. Doesn't sound too appetising?
Who doesn't love the story of Daryl - becoming the hunter of walking dead people and anything else he can shoot with his arrow. We choose Daryl Dixon’s Deer Stew.
Fifty chicken recipes, each more seductive than the last. Less a delectable, mouthwatering recipe book, more of a parody.
Holy Hell Wings, Mustard-Spanked Chicken. Inventive.
As in many prison stories, much of the action is centred around the kitchen, and not just for cooking purposes. This book gives us sixty five recipes and photos from the show. It is so much more than just porridge.
Taste of prison anyone? Red’s Chicken Kiev and the prison punch.
With over one hundred wonderful recipes, from upstairs dinner party centerpieces to downstairs puddings and pies.
Food historian Annie Gray gives an in-depth and fascinating insight into the history of the dishes that were popular between 1912 and 1926.
The Official Cookbook offers a choice of recipes for chefs of every level. Appetizers main courses, drinks and desserts, each chapter includes iconic treats such as Monica's Friendsgiving Feast, Rachel's famous-for-all-the-wrong-reasons trifle, 'Just for Joey Fries', and Chandler's 'Milk You Can Chew.'
When choosing a favourite, we have to think about the true 'Friends' originals. For so many reasons, Joey’s meatball sub is our top pick.
A strange choice of series to launch a cookbook, but luckily they concentrate more on good old fashioned southern style food and less on the supernatural side of food, so this is maybe worth a look.
Tara boldly proclaims in the first season that she’s been mixing whiskey sours for her mama since the first grade. Now we get to join her and partake in Lettie Mae Thornton’s choice of breakfast. Lemon juice, bourbon and syrup make up this simple but classic drink.

For the name alone, Wookie cookies are the certain winner.
All meals featured appear in the film, from simple meals made in District 12, to the more elaborate meals from the capital.
The full-of-flavour Venison-Stuffed Pepper Boats.
Whether you're a fan of the Alien series, or you're just looking for some quirky appetisers, this cookbook will excite not only the eyes but the taste buds as well. Could you eat a bok choy that is cut and arranged on the plate, looking like it is ready to jump off, hug your face and lay eggs inside you?
Our top pick, simply for a table centrepiece, has to be the quiche: an easy-prep, red pepper quiche. With a sausage Chestburster menacingly protruding from its centre.
The Official Hill Valley Cookbook gives us more than sixty-five classic Hill Valley Recipes From the Past, Present, and of course the Future. Beginning in 1985 with some classic American comfort food, then jump back to 1955 for some classic diner food.
We personally love the 'futuristic' ideas of not having enough time to cook. So, 'mini pizzas a la 2015' definitely caught our eye for a bit of fun. But the top pick has to go to spicy rehydrated ramen. Sign of the times. Tasty, too.
Known for a different type of cooking in the series, this book centres around the food that we have come to associate with this classic series, such as Hank Schrader’s barbecue.
Straying true to the location and feel of the whole series, we vote the 'Los Pollos Hermanos Fried Chicken'.
