Strong team

Imoco Volley Conegliano is currently one of the strongest volleyball teams in Europe with a remarkable tournament record. In the past year, they have landed a top-three finish in the Champions League and secured the triple crown! The Italian Cup, Italian Supercup, and the Serie A1.

Decisive middle-blocker

Federica Squarcini usually plays the decisive middle-blocker role for her club. Regardless of being one of the youngest players on the team, she commands her presence on the court.

 

Top ace

The young 24-year-old is a very versatile player but her true strength is behind her serves. The Italian middle-blocker always manages to secure a couple of points via serves in games.

Wonder season

During the 2022 season, Squarcini registered a total of 274 points with her previous team, Bosca San Bernardo Cuneo. She finished the season with a total of 31 spikes and 37 aces!

Best spiker 2022

Squarcini was awarded the Mediterranean Games 2022 Best Spiker Award after a magnificent season in both international and domestic competitions.

Now in her new club, she is surrounded by some of Italy's best volleyball talents, such as Monica de Gennaro and Isabelle Haak.

Looking to improve

Imoco Volley Conegliano has high aspirations for this year's Champions League, hoping to better last year's run.

So far, Squarcini has registered 152 points in 30 appearances this season, alongside 36 aces and 6 spikes!

A shared passion

The Italian volleyball star also shares her volleyball passion with her boyfriend Filippo Federici, who also plays professional volleyball in Italy. Federici currently plays for Valsa Group Modena in the north of Italy.

Bright future ahead

Squarcini also plays middle-blocker for the Italian national team and will be looking for a strong finish during the 2024 Paris Olympics. They have never gone past the quarterfinals! The only exception was in 2002 during the World Championships, when they won the final against Germany. Now, all eyes are on Paris.
