Former NBA MVP James Harden failed to turn up to the Philadelphia 76ers media day yesterday, with the guard looking for a trade away from Phili.

Attack on Morey

His no-show was expected after his fiery words towards Daryl Morey, the Sixers president of basketball operations, in August.

'Daryl Morey is a liar'

According to bleacherreport.com, Harden said: "Daryl Morey is a liar, and I will never be a part of an organization that he's a part of."

Working out a trade

His attack on Morey came after Harden had opted into his contract with Philadelphia with the hope of working out a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers, Harden's preferred destination.

One more year

The Sixers were unable to get fair value for future Hall of Famer and decided to Harden back for another season to play with last season's MVP, Joel Embiid.

Forcing a move

According to NBA TV's Jared Greenberg, the Sixers front office expects Harden to return for training camp to force through a trade to another franchise.

History repeating itself

Harden's attempt at forcing a trade away from Philadelphia isn't a new experience for this Sixers staff and some players, with Ben Simmons doing the same a couple of years back.

Both in the trade deal

James Harden was involved in that trade package, which saw Simmons move to the Brooklyn Nets and Harden the opposite way to Phili.

A bad egg in the NBA

Harden has forced himself out of several situations to give himself the best chance of winning, but could his time be up?

Rejected from the league?

Harden has forced his way out of Houston, Brooklyn, and potentially now the Sixers. How long will it take for teams to stop bringing him in due to his attitude and not just taking him because of his all-star caliber ability?
