Floyd Mayweather (5)

Undefeated world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather is arguably the greatest boxer of all time, but that didn't stop him from serving prison time in 2012.

Domestic violence

Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days behind bars after pleading guilty to a domestic violence charge against his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris. The boxer only served 60 days of his sentence.

OJ Simpson (4)

Perhaps the most famous man on this list for his trouble with the law, OJ Simpson was acquitted of a double murder in the 90s, but he soon found trouble again in 2007.

Armed robbery

In December 2008, Simpson was sentenced to 33 years imprisonment for Kidnapping and armed robbery of sports memorabilia from a hotel/casino in Las Vegas. The NFL star served nine years behind bars and was paroled in 2017.

Mike Tyson (3)

Former heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson also has one of the most notable cases in recent memory, serving prison time for the sexual assault of 18-year-old Desiree Washington.

Only served half

Tyson was sentenced to six years in prison with four years of probation on March 6th, 1992. However, he was released in March 1995, less than three years of his sentence.

Oscar Pistorius (2)

Famous South African Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius was one of the most successful runners in the world, winning six Paralympic gold medals.

Convicted of murder

The sprinting champion is currently serving a sentence of more than 13 years for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, at their home back in February 2013.

Aaron Hernandez

Former NFL player Aaron Hernandez had his fair run-ins with the law up until he took his own life in a prison cell in April 2017.

First-degree murder

Hernandez had been suspected of multiple shootings before killing Odin Lloyd on June 17, 2013. Despite that, Hernandez was sentenced to life without parole on April 15, 2015, for the first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd. Two years later, he was found dead in his prison cell.
