Four-star guard Bronny James and son of NBA superstar LeBron James has committed to the University of Southern California for the start of next season.

'I need to be on floor with my boy'

In a recent interview with ESPN, LeBron James said, "I want to be on the floor with my boy, I've got to be on the floor with Bronny, either in the same uniform or in a matchup against each other."

Can he actually make it?

The question on many people's lips in the basketball world is can Bronny James actually step up and make it to the NBA level to play with his father?

Let's look through

So let's take a look and see if Bronny James really can make it!

'Icing on the cake'

In the interview with ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Lebron James talked about his illustrious career and "doing a full year with him (Bronny) in the same uniform would be the icing on the cake."

Current situation

Bronny James is currently playing in his senior year as a two-way guard with Los Angeles Prep High School titan Sierra Canyon.

The start of his high school career

Bronny played every game of his freshman year for Sierra Canyon, but his sophomore year was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic and a serious injury to his meniscus.

Playing with the best

In his full return from injury in his junior year, Bronny played alongside seniors such as five-star recruit Amari Bailey and four-star recruit Kijani Wright.

Senior year

In his senior year now, James is 18 years old, 6ft3, and possesses a gifted three-point shot and the power to get through traffic at the rim, according to sportingnews.com.

College recruitment

Being LeBron James' son, Bronny was not short of NCAA Division One basketball scholarship offers, playing in his final year at High School.

ESPN ranking

According to ESPN, Bronny James is a four-star recruit ranked 19th nationally in the class of 2023, behind Kentucky commits DJ Wagner and Justin Edwards who make up the top two.

Division one offers

Heading into college, Bronny was not short of D1 offers with numerous colleges offering him a full athletic scholarship.

But which team will he go to?

The teams included who have offered to take his services are, Memphis, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ohio State, USC, and Oregon.

Choosing USC

Ultimately, Bronny committed to USC on May 6th, announcing it on his Instagram profile.

'One of the best days of my life'

According to dailymail.co.uk, LeBron James spoke after a victory over Golden State Warriors: "One of the best days of my life. Personally, it's even more special to me because it's the first time someone out of my family will go to college."

McDonalds All-American selection

Bronny James was selected as one of the 24 high school elite basketball athletes for McDonald's historic All-American game in January 2023.

‘Congratulations son!’

His dad LeBron expressed his delight on social media saying, "Congratulations Son! So proud of you! Continue to be you through it all no matter what!! You're truly AMAZING!!!"

Following in his father's footsteps

Bronny will follow in the same footsteps as his dad, who was unsurprisingly selected in the same game 20 years ago.

LeBron's performance

LeBron Sr scored 27 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out 7 assists in his McDonald's All-American game, so if Bronny can get near that, any college will be happy to have him.

Possible first-round pick

According to ESPN draft expert Jonathon Givony, Bronny is already being considered as a first-round pick in the 2024 NBA draft.

'The King' isn't slowing down

With the 38-year-old Lebron James averaging 30 points, 8.5 rebounds, and seven assists, it's easy to assume that come 2024, the pair will be playing with or against each other in the NBA.
