Whatever happened to supermodel Eva Herzigova?
Eva Herzigova was one of the stars who walked the most prestigious catwalks of the 90s, together with Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and other top models.
How has the Czech model been, and what has she been up to since dominating the glossy magazine covers of the 90s?
Did you know that Eva Herzigova's career went from the Czech Republic to France, Italy and the US? Let's have a look at her achievements and see how she has changed over time.
Eva Herzigova was born on March 10, 1973 in Litvinov, a city in the Czech Republic. From a very young age she showed great interest in the world of modeling.
In 1989, the teenage Eva Herzigova won a beauty contest in Prague. This first success prompted her to move to Paris and try to achieve her dream: to become an international supermodel.
Once Eva Herzigova moved to the French capital, success came pretty quickly for her.
She immediately became one of the most photographed faces and graced the covers of international fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Glamour, and Marie Claire.
A stepping stone in her modeling career was undoubtedly the 1994 'Miss Wonderbra' advertising campaign. According to some British polls, this advertisement was among the most iconic of all time.
Herzigova became famous in Italy and began appearing in TV shows and movies there. She presented the 1998 Sanremo Music Festival, one of the country's biggest television events.
Among her Italian movies was 'My Best Friend's Wife' (L'amico del cuore) in 1998. The movie was a big success at the box office in Italy.
Still, the model continued to mount the catwalks. In fact, she never left the world of fashion.
Eva Herzigova appeared on famous calendars like that of the Italian tyre company Pirelli.
A few years later, in 2004, she posed for Playboy.
As for her private life, some will remember that in 1996, precisely in her most successful years, she married the drummer of Bon Jovi, Tico Torres. The couple stayed together for three years and got divorced in 1999.
A longer relationship would follow in the 2000s. She met the Italian entrepreneur Gregorio Marsiaj in 2003 and finally got married to him in 2017.
Gregorio Marsiaj is the father of Eva Herzigova's three children: George, born in June 2007, Philip, born in March 2011, and Edward, born in April 2013.
Eva Herzigova currently lives in the Italian city of Turin with her beautiful and large family.
While family life may have caused her to work a little less, Eva Herzigova is still a model with a strong presence in magazines, on catwalks, and in advertising campaigns.
Here she's walking the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2022-2023 fashion show in July 2022.
She's also posed for ad campaigns of Bottega Verde in 2017 and Yamamay in 2018.
If you take a look at her social profile, you can see how active she is still in this sector. In addition, it becomes clear that the years never seem to have passed for Herzigova.
The same goes for her appearances on red carpets and in film galas, such as the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in this image. 49-year-old Eva Herzigova looks radiant!
Thanks to her 'girl-next-door' beauty, she remains one of the most beautiful supermodels of the 1990s' cohort.
