Neither the lead nor the director of the highest-grossing film of 2023 will receive an Oscar. It had seemed they would have guaranteed nominations: Actress and Direction. So, Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig will have to encourage their colleagues and, well, keep an eye on the 8 nominations that 'Barbie' is getting.
'Napoleon' was not looking great since its release and these thoughts have been confirmed with the Oscar nominations: neither Ridley Scott, nor Joaquin Phoenix, nor Vanessa Kirby will be eligible for the statue. Why? Does anyone remember the film?
