KARA's Nicole Jung is back! 'Sisters Who Make Waves' and new music
Fans of KARA celebrated having Nicole Jung return to the global stage in MangoTV's hit reality TV competition 'Sisters Who Make Waves'. She also just released new comeback music!

Nicole Jung is a K-pop star who is best known for being part of the iconic K-pop girl group, KARA. Currently, she has also set herself apart from the group with her solo activities.

Nicole Jung was born as Nicole Yongju Jung on October 7, 1991. Although she is of Korean ancestry, Nicole Jung is an American citizen and was born in Glendale, California, in the US.

According to Allkpop, Nicole Jung moved to Seoul, South Korea, after passing auditions with DSP Media, who would later manage and release KARA to the world. She was accompanied by her mother during her move to Seoul.

Nicole Jung was a member of KARA and performed as part of a quartet in the original lineup. Only in 2008 did two new members join and one member leave, resulting in the final lineup of Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Goo Hara, and Kang Jiyoung, with the addition of Nicole.

As part of KARA, Nicole Jung was part of hits such as 'Honey', 'Rock U', and 'Mister', among many other iconic hits.

Despite being one of K-pop's most iconic girl groups at the time, KARA disbanded in 2016 after several members' contracts expired, according to Daum. Following Goo Hara's death in 2019, KARA still managed to reunite and release new music in 2022 with the release of the EP 'Move Again'.

Since then, Nicole Jung has been focusing on her work as a solo artist alongside being a member of KARA again. In her solo work, Nicole has released music such as 'Lost', 'Mama', and 'Don't Stop'!

Many were surprised when Nicole Jung was reported by AsiaOne to be cast in MangoTV's hit Chinese reality TV show 'Sisters Who Make Waves' in its fifth season! Her appearance on the show is significant because it solidifies her status as a veteran in the Asian entertainment industry, which is required to be cast in the show in the first place!

2024 might be the year of Nicole Jung's comeback, as she has also returned to the K-pop world with the release of her new music, '5!6!7!8!' on June 6. She last released music in 2023 with 'Mysterious', and this is a better and more impactful return to music given her upcoming and current activities.
