Jennifer Lopez's first husband thinks her marriage with Ben Affleck won't last
In case you've been under a stone these days, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married. They went to a chapel in Las Vegas, then did another ceremony in Affleck's Georgia estate, and finally finished what they had begun two decades ago when they first fell in love.
For the actor, it is his second marriage and his second Jennifer, after he'd been married to Jennifer Garner between 2005 and 2018.
For her part, Jennifer Lopez has been married four times. She's walked down the aisle with Ojani Noa (1997-1998), Chris Judd (1999-2001), Marc Anthony (2004-2011), and now Ben Affleck himself.
The media, fans, and Hollywood see the recent wedding as a fairy tale come true. However, for Jennifer Lopez's first husband, Ojani Noa, it has a different connotation.
The singer's first husband, whom she married 25 years ago, gave an interview to 'The Daily Mail' in which he said several shocking things about JLo's new union.
"I wish her and Ben the best, but I’m not convinced it will last," Ojani Noa said.
Back in 1997, when they married, Noa recalls, "she told me I was the love of her life. When we lay in bed on our wedding night, she said we would be together forever." It didn't last long, however.

"‘I think she’s someone who will be married seven or eight times," he said. "I can’t see her ever settling down with one person."

Ojani Noa continued: "She pushes herself to constantly go forward in her professional life, which is why she’s had a three-decade career, but she also moves on in her private life."

Ojani was a Cuban refugee who fled his country when he was 15 years old. At age 22, he was working in Gloria Estefan's restaurant in Miami when Jennifer Lopez walked in.
"I had no idea who she was," he told the Daily Mail. "Our eyes glanced at each other and I thought she was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen." He describes their encounter as 'the American Dream.'
It seemed so great, and yet, the couple did not 'last forever,' as Jennifer Lopez had told him when they married in 1997. Why did they break up?
According to Ojani Noa, "she went from Jen to being J Lo, this big business bringing in millions."

Jennifer Lopez had "all these new people around her, all wanting to make money off her. I would call and an assistant would say, 'Sorry, she’s not available,'" the Cuban-American boxer recalls.
One of the goals of the young couple was to have children. "We wanted kids, we discussed having kids," he recalls in The Daily Mail. "Then she told me she couldn’t have a baby because it would interfere with her career."

According to Ojani Noa, Jennifer Lopez "loves being in love." That's why she's gotten engaged so often in the past two decades. What comes after the honeymoon, that's a different story, he says.
In between Ojani Noa and Ben Affleck, a lot has happened. Jennifer Lopez hasn't simply gotten engaged a bunch of times. She also had a long relationship with Marc Anthony, married him in 2004, had twins with the singer, and then divorced him after seven years.
The life of JLo evolved. She may not be the Jenny from the Block anymore as Noa used to know her.
A good thing about the interview with Ojani Noa: he starts off by wishing Ben and Jen "the best." So who knows, maybe that part of his words will come true!
