Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1, 1979.

The actor was born in Nanakuli, a small town of 10,000 people in Honolulu (Hawaii, United States).

Jason Momoa's exotic traits come from his father's Hawaiian roots and his mother's German-Irish roots.

His passion for surfing runs in the family, since Jason Momoa is the nephew of the well-known surfers Brian and Rusty Kealuana.

To get his role in 'Baywatch,' Jason lied a little on his resume, writing that he had worked as a model for Louis Vuitton and Gucci. In his defense, he was only 19 years old. They didn't catch him because the internet was not that sophisticated back then.
