The accident left Renner with physical but also psychological consequences. The latter he dealt with by returning to the scene of the accident, in Lake Tahoe, less than six months after it occurred.

At the end of May 2023, Renner went on a trip with his family. He had a clear plan: "To shift the narrative of being victimised or making a mistake or anything else. I refuse to be f- haunted by that memory that way," he commented on his Instagram Stories.

Jeremy Renner is a lover of Lake Tahoe and a very involved member of the local community. With the mental wound closed, healing the physical ones seems to have become easier, even though it takes longer.

A month before this 'healing' visit, Renner had officially reappeared in the media. He went on the Jimmy Kimmel talkshow, telling a detail about the accident that not everyone knew.

Renner revealed that one of his eyes had come out of its socket. "I believe I could see my eye with my other eye," he said.

After breaking more than 30 bones, a collapsed lung, a perforated liver and near-death for 45 minutes, it seems that the sight of his eye was a detail that made the most impact on the actor.

As he had already commented on social media, Jeremy Renner admitted in the interview that the accident was his own fault. He had forgotten to pull the handbrake when he got off the snowplow.

Just as he has assumed the blame, Jeremy Renner has also taken on recovery in miraculous speed. To achieve this, he has worked daily since the accident.

At the end of August 2023, the actor revealed one of the secrets of his recovery: a hyperbaric chamber that helps him regenerate tissues, reduces muscle fatigue, and gives him pure oxygen to dissolve blood more easily.

In September 2023, the actor received great news: the series 'Mayor of Kingstown' in which he starred on the Paramount+ channel, had been renewed for a third season.
