From 'Prison Break'... to Miley Cyrus' stepfather?

Attention! There is a wedding in the Cyrus clan. And Miley is not the protagonist, but her mother, Tish Cyrus (Nashville, Tennessee, 1967), who will soon say yes to this well-known actor. Do you remember him?

He is the British actor Dominic Purcell (Merseyside, England, 1970), whom a large part of the public will remember for his work in the series 'Prison Break'. The actor gave life to Lincoln Burrows in that series.

From now on, he will also be known as the stepfather of Miley Cyrus. The actor is set to marry her mother Tish (born in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1967).

"A thousand times... YES @dominicpurcell," Tish Cyrus wrote on Instagram. She also showed us the impressive engagement ring she got from her fiancé.

Although they have only been together for a short time, both are very much in love, as shown on their social media and at the public events they attend together.

But how did this fleeting love story evolve, possibly ending in a wedding?

In November 2022, the couple made their romance public through social media, but you have to go back to the summer of 2022 to get a glimpse of their first flirtations. They did so through likes and public messages on Instagram.

Even though she was not in favor of exposing the relationship so soon, Tish finally took the plunge. Within a year of the online fling, she announced her engagement.

As a source close to the couple revealed to Us Weekly in February 2023, things couldn't go better between them. They understand each other wonderfully, amd Tish even believes that, after so long, "she found her soul mate."

The actor too is delighted with this new relationship. "She’s the best human ever. Love ya love," he posted on Instagram.

Now that they have decided to formalize their romance by getting married, they will be part of a large, extended family. Tish has five children and Dominic has four. It's a tribe like the Bradys but in a modern version.

Tish Cyrus has two children from a first marriage with drummer Baxter Neal Helson (Brandi, born in 1987, and Trace, 1989) and three others with Billy Ray Cyrus: Miley (1992), Braison (1994) and Noah Cyrus (2000).

For his part, Dominic Purcell has four children: Joseph (1999), Audrey (2001), and the twins Lily-Rose and Augustus (2003).

The three children came out of his relationship with Rebecca Williamson. The couple married in 1998, separated in 2007, and officially divorced in 2008.

"My biggest success. My children. They have and continue to give me purpose and love only a parent knows. The meaning of life is very simple. Joe. Audrey. Gus. Lily," he wrote on Instagram in March 2022. He appeared surrounded by all of them.

Will the offspring of both stars give the go-ahead to this union? Is everyone just as excited as the bride and groom?

It must be remembered that Miley Cyrus did not take her father's new relationship with the Australian country singer Firerose very well.

While the divorce of Dominic Purcell and Rebecca Williamson occurred quite some time ago (it was formalized in October 2008), the breakup of Miley Cyrus' parents is a little more recent.

In April 2022, after three decades of an on-and-off relationship, Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus divorced. The third time was the charm. It was the same year that Tish and Dominic started dating.
