In fact, Sara Lee was not going through the best of times, healthwise. She herself had confirmed this situation on Instagram. The wrestler told her followers about a complicated sinus infection she'd been suffering from.

Despite her health issues, Sara Lee shared images of herself in the gym up to a day before her death. In her last post, she celebrated the fact that she had made some small progress in her training.

Sara Lee's mother, Terri Lee, wrote about her young daughter's death on Facebook. She asked that the press "let her family mourn" after confirming the news both on the social media platform and E! Online.
