It seemed IMPOSSIBLE...

Some time ago, Liam Gallagher responded with a laconic ‘nothing new to report’ to those who asked him about a possible Oasis reunion. However, the historic announcement disproving his earlier statement came directly from his social media account and that of his brother Noel. Next summer, starting July 2025, it will be possible to see the legendary band perform live again!

Truce between the brothers?

"The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised," the Gallagher brothers wrote on Instagram in the caption of a photo of them together. After 15 years of absence (and quarrels), it seems that the 'war' between the two is over!

One of the most anticipated music reunions

14 concerts have been planned, all in the UK and Ireland. The tour starts in Cardiff, then goes on to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Run on tickets this Saturday

For Saturday 31 August, when pre-sales for the new concerts open, a fierce rush for tickets is already expected.

Youth, fame and millions

But what led the two brothers, world-famous Brit pop musicians from Manchester, to reconcile? Was it the recent news about Liam Gallagher's health?

Paying off excess... with interest

Liam Gallagher is on what he himself has described as a "health trip", trying to recover, as much as possible, a body that he has crushed for years.

Sleepless nights for different reasons

Speaking to The Sun, the British icon said he had swapped sleepless nights of partying for sleepless nights of joint pain. A constant ailment he can only ease with painkillers.

Arthritis and psoriasis

Liam Gallagher has arthritis, which means he is in almost constant pain. He also has psoriasis, which worsens over time.

Hashimoto's disease

If that wasn't enough, in 2017 he was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune condition of the thyroid gland that affects his singing voice. Yes, his tool of the trade is also at risk.

Recovering health (as much as possible)

The artist makes clear that, even if he can't recover everything he lost health-wise, he is doing his best to be healthy. "It's time to get healthy", says the Manchester fashion icon.

From late nights to early mornings: life changes

Not only has he cut down on his drinking and substance abuse, but he gets up at 4am every day. Obviously, "round about six or seven I start nodding off," he told The Sun.

Running, but then... the hip

Up until 2023, those early mornings included running around north London where he lives, but that all changed when he had hip surgery for arthritis. "My hips are fed. I’ve got arthritis, bad. I went to get it checked out and my bones are mashed up."

Valuing life and music

Interestingly, time and years have not only led Liam Gallagher to value his own health, but also to value the importance of music and being able to sing.

"I need to be singing"

"I had four years away from music and it was [f] awful. I need to be around it. I need to be singing... being around good musicians. It’s addictive," he told the newspaper.

Oasis back together

Is this what brought him back to his brother? For now, the world has a healthier version of Liam Gallagher. And whatever the reason, as the Gallagher brothers wrote: "This is it, this is happening".
