Pop sensation, Dua Lipa, is getting used to the Hollywood scene. She appeared relaxed and free at the 'Barbie' premiere in a transparent dress, which certainly caught the attention of the world's press. Not only is she appearing in the film as a 'mermaid Barbie' but her song, 'Dance the Night' from the soundtrack is making a splash in the charts.

In an interview with Dazed, Dua says that she has wanted to work with Greta Gerwig for a while now and the film challenges the audience’s idea of what Barbie represents. “Barbie, the doll, has this idea of what perfection should be,” Dua said. “The film – and there’s a lot of diversity in the cast – is touching exactly on the buttons that maybe it presses, and shows a different story.”

So, it seems pop superstar, Dua Lipa, has really broken into acting! She will play an undisclosed role in Apple TV+‘s forthcoming spy thriller 'Argylle', according to NME. The film, which will be released next year, has a star-studded cast including Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson. Justjared gave us a release date of February 2nd 2024.

According to an Apple TV+ press release, the film “follows the globe-trotting adventures of a super-spy named Argylle across the US, London, and other exotic locations”. A brilliant, accessible storyline to help Dua Lipa make the jump from music to Hollywood.
