Details emerge about the death of 'Crazy Town' frontman Shifty Shellshock
Shifty Shellshock, singer and frontman of the popular band 'Crazy Town', was found dead in his Los Angeles home on June 24, 2024. He was 49 years old.
Shifty Shellshock, whose real name was Seth Binzer, had problems with illicit substances that were public and well-known.
The singer's manager made it no secret that Shifty Shellshock's death was most likely due to an overdose. Still, it was shocking to hear, months later, the Los Angeles County Coroner's details about the nature of the overdose.
The coroner confirmed that Shifty Shellshock had a combination of three dangerous substances in his system: fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaIne.

After the single's success, the band broke up in 2003, only to reunite in 2007. Since then, they continued performing.
The singer appeared in two seasons of the popular reality shows 'Celebrity Rehab' and 'Sober House' between 2006 and 2008.
Alongside his addiction problems, Shifty Shellshock also had serious problems with the law.
In fact, in 2001, while 'Butterfly' was still being played on radio stations around the world, he spent three months in the 'California Institution for Men', accused for several years of theft, sale, and use of illicit substances.
In an interview with Rolling Stone that year, Shifty Shellshock admitted to stealing, using, and trafficking drugs for years.
Ten years later, in 2011, according to TMZ, he was arrested for a domestic dispute with his partner. At the time, the singer acknowledged that he had other outstanding arrest warrants.
A year later he would be sentenced to three years of probation for assault and possession of a controlled substance.
In his last years, he had a brief relationship with actress Soleil Moon Frye, who played Punky Brewster in the 1980s. Shortly after the breakup, around 2022, the artist was arrested again in Los Angeles for drunk driving.
