Have you seen the latest silly thing Trump is trying to sell his supporters?

Donald Trump just added a commemorative coin to his long list of odd products on offer under the umbrella of his personal brand. However, even more shocking than the coin is how much the former president is charging for it! 

On September 21st, Trump posted an exciting video announcement on Truth Social that revealed his latest venture: commemorative coins. However, at the moment it looks as if Trump only has one coin that will be up for sale.

At an eye-watering $100 dollars, 99.9% silver coin is a bit more expensive than the $60 dollar Bibles Trump was hawking around Easter in 2024 but still cheaper than the $399 dollar sneaker he tried to sell according to Forbes. 

The coin is worth roughly $31.50 dollars per ounce according to the market value when it launched, and it could make a great collectible for any Trump supporter. Unlike some of Trump’s other weird products, his coin isn’t all that terrible.

One side of the commemorative silver coin, which the exclusive website selling the coin noted was a medallion, features the 45th President of the United States in profile and it has an image of the White House on the reverse with the words: “In God We Trust.”

Interestingly, RealTrumpCoin.com, the website selling the commemorative coin, noted that the silver medallion was “not political” and added that it had “nothing to do with any political campaign.” This seems like a statement that came straight from Trump!

The President Donald J. Trump First Edition Silver Medallion will be available for sale to the public On September 25th, 2024 according to the former president’s post, but it was the introductory video he paired with his announcement that should be making news.

“This beautiful, limited-edition coin commemorates our movement, our fight for freedom, prosperity, and putting America first, we always put America first,” the former president said with a smirk on his face while making off-teleprompter jokes along the way.

At one point Trump said: “I've seen a lot of other coins out there, using my very beautiful face,” with his regular sarcastic mannerisms before adding: “I’m a very beautiful guy, I’m only kidding,” while giving his audience a rather silly smile.

Trump called his new coin “more than just a collector’s item” and deemed it “a testament to the resilience and strength of the American people, our American patriots that we love so much,” according to The Guardian.
