Trump doesn't want Biden to quit the race

On Wednesday, July 10, George Clooney's opinion article was published in The New York Times. The famed actor joined a mass of Democrats who are calling on President Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential campaign after his disastrous performance in the June 27 debate against Donald Trump.

Clooney's essay

In his essay, Clooney, who only weeks earlier had co-hosted a successful fundraiser for Joe Biden, presented the argument in The New York Times that at 81 years old, Biden's ability to lead the US is no longer what it once was.

George Clooney says the Dems have to replace Biden to keep Trump out

Clooney insisted that if the Democrats did not replace Biden, then it was clear that Donald Trump would indeed be returning to the White House after the November 2024 elections.

Is Trump worried a movie star might convince Joe to quit?

Clooney's essay seems to have made Donald Trump very nervous about the possibility of Joe Biden being persuaded to step down. On Wednesday evening, Trump published a scathing post on Truth Social in which he slammed George Clooney for turning against Biden.

Trump needs Biden to win

It makes sense that Trump would be upset about Clooney's article in The New York Times; after all, if Biden stays in the race, Trump's chances of returning to the White House are much higher.

Could Clooney's essay be enough?

Trump is likely nervous that a call from an actor as famous as George Clooney, who has up until now been a big Biden supporter, may just be enough to change Biden's mind.

Trump's angry Truth Social rant

On July 10, Trump made a post on his Truth Social platform in which he insulted George Clooney writing, "So now fake movie actor George Clooney, who never came close to making a great movie, is getting into the act. He's turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are. What does Clooney know about anything?"

George Clooney is such a "fake actor"

It is obvious that Trump was upset by Clooney's article by his weak insult of calling George Clooney a "fake movie actor" when he is
one of the highest-grossing actors of all time with over $2.6 billion total box office gross and an average of $61.7 million per film.

Trump was upset Clooney said Biden "saved Democracy"

Trump continued his rant by writing, "He (Clooney) uses the Democrat "talking point" that Biden, the WORST President in the history of the United States, has "saved our Democracy."

Trump listed all of Biden's mistakes

The former US president then went on to list all of the terrible things, in his opinion, Biden has done while in the White House; the gravest sin of all, of course, was the persecution of Trump for his crimes.

Its all Crooked Joe's fault

Trump wrote, "No, Crooked Joe was the one who WEAPONIZED Law Enforcement against his political Opponent, who created the most devastating INFLATION in the history of our Country, who Embarrassed our Nation in Afghanistan, and whose crazy Open Border Policy has allowed millions of people to illegally pour into our Country, many from prisons and mental institutions."

"Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television"

Trump concluded his angry tirade by saying, "Crooked Joe Biden didn't save our Democracy; he brought our Democracy to its knees. Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!"

Biden doesn't stand a chance

It does seem clearer and clearer that Joe Biden doesn't stand a chance against Donald Trump in the elections. Biden's public appearances as of late have really hurt his chances at winning.

Both Trump and Biden are old but Trump presents better

While both candidates are well past their prime, Trump still appears to have energy and vigor, while Biden seems old and frail.

Could Kamala be the answer?

Americans want a President with the power and stamina to lead the country. In fact if the Democrats picked a candidate that was much younger than Donald Trump, it would likely help the candidate greatly. Americans don't want an old man in the White House.

Too stubborn to know what's best?

However, Joe Biden appears to be stubborn about accepting the possibility that he is no longer who Americans want in the White House, and, in the past weeks, has repeatedly insisted that he intends to remain in the race.
