The divorce of Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin after 25 years of marriage

The couple had been married for 25 years and had three daughters together: Sophia (25), Sistine (24) and Scarlet (20).

According to information from HELLO! magazine, the model filed a complaint with the corresponding courts because the actor had allegedly transferred money from their common bank account to other locations without her consent.

TMZ claims that the former model intends to use her maiden name while also staying in the Stallone family mansion, located in an exclusive area of Palm Beach.

Although neither of the two protagonists has made a statement about the separation, Stallone's representative told TMZ that they will try to carry out the divorce as discreetly as possible. Both want to avoid any type of controversy or scandal, especially for the sake of their daughters.

According several media, there had been rumors of a marital crisis between Stallone and Flavin for a few weeks before the divorce filing.

Sylvester Stallone had been spotted in a tattoo parlor, covering a tattoo of his wife's face and changing it into a drawing of his deceased pet.

The news of the split comes a month after the couple celebrated their silver wedding anniversary. At that point, the two had congratulated each other on social media and all appeared to be well. As it turns out now, the situation was not as rosy as portrayed.

Now that the divorce has been confirmed, the former model state on social media that she had found support in her daughters. She poste a photo of herself with the three young women, hugging.

"These girls are my priority," she captioned the photo. "The rest doesn't matter. The 4 together forever."

Below her message, the couple's daughters showed their mother how much they supported her: "You are our rock, an incredible mother," Sophia, the eldest, said.

Sistine, the second daughter, commented below the message: "The strongest woman I know."

For the moment, the couple has not published any other statements. It remains to seen in what context the separation took place.

Jennifer Flavin and Sylvester Stallone have been in a relationship since 1988. There was a brief separation in 1994 when Stallone was alleged to have slept with another model, Janice Dickinson.

The couple got back together, however, and they tied the knot in May 1997.
