Three days of mourning

Three days of mourning have been decreed in support of the accident victims, according to the city's Official Gazette, as well as the recommendation to hire an independent expert to clarify the facts and judge the cause of the accident. "The Office of the Attorney General of Justice of Mexico City has been asked to conduct the necessary expert reports and act responsibly to clarify the facts and bring justice; therefore, the Secretary for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection is instructed, as well as the Secretary of Administration and Finance to seek an independent expert's opinion ", the city government has informed.

"We returned to the scene of the incident with engineers, the secretary of works and services, the director of the construction safety institute, the director of the metro. They will assist in creating a general review of the line 12 overpass and other lines of the metro," said Claudia Sheinbaum, head of the capital's government, on her social media networks.
