From that moment on, the New Jersey actress appeared in 10 seasons and 209 episodes of the series. It was remarkable, because at the beginning producers were sure Bernadette would just be another sporadic character.

In fact, the CBS comedy wouldn't be the same without her character due to Bernadette's iconic high-pitched voice and legendary arguments with Howard. But don't panic, in real life, the actress has a normal voice.

The actress married her high school boyfriend, the script writer Winston Beigel (left in the photo). After the marriage he took on his wife's surname, Rauch.

The couple welcomed her first daughter, Sadie, on December 4, 2017 when 'The Big Bang Theory' was still shooting. In fact, the writers of the show took advantage of the first pregnancy of the actress and 'got' her character, Bernadette, pregnant as well.

Yes, the second pregnancy of Bernadette wasn't a fake tummy! However, even though in the show it was all laughs, the pregnancy was difficult for Rauch. Due to a previous miscarriage, the actress was really struggling with fear and insecurities, and all of that whilst filming the show.

Melissa Rauch's second pregnancy wasn't easy either... Her son, Brooks Beigel, was born in May 2020, right in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.

Luckily, everything worked out right and Melissa and Winston are a really happy family of four.

The success of the CBS sitcom was such that Melissa Rauch, just like the rest of her cast mates, got to earn 900.000 dollars per episode in the last seasons of 'The Big Bang Theory'.

Taking into account that each season of the show had 23–24 episodes, it's easy to calculate that the actress earned more than 20 million dollars per season.

Even though she could have, Melissa Rauch didn't stop working after 'The Big Bang Theory'. However, the actress has taken on smaller projects in order to have more time and be able to take care of her children.

Her most relevant role after the show was the one of Melanie in 'The Laundromat', a Netflix series starring Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, and Sharon Stone, among others.

The actress has also worked as the voice of many animated characters in, for example, the TV shows 'Animaniacs', 'The Chicken Squad' and 'Firebuds'.

In the comedy 'Night Court,' which premiered in early 2023 and had its second season released in december of that year, she finally has the lead role she deserves.

The actress plays the main character of the show, Abby Stone, a sweet judge in charge of the night shift in a Manhattan arraignment court.
