A trailblazer

Danica Patrick could be considered something of a trailblazer. Not only did she enjoy a relatively successful career in NASCAR, she is still the most successful woman to race in IndyCar. Her on-track success has helped break down gender barriers in the motorsports world, no question.

Outside interests

It seems, however, that Patrick is looking to do the same post-retirement for the track. As well as being in demand for a range of commentary and pundit positions, she also has a podcast side hustle. It’s here that we learn a lot more about Patrick’s life interests.

Pretty Intense

Her podcast, ‘Pretty Intense’ sees Patrick exploring a range of, let’s say fringe topics and concepts. While a lot of it could come under the general banners of ‘wellness’, ‘philosophy’, ‘human condition’ and ‘the universe’, the specific topics are…a little out there.

Some pretty out there discussions

Things like using mindfulness to escape ‘the matrix’, channeling high-frequency energy and interdimensional exploration are all fairly standard topics on 'Pretty Intense', and while that will cause some to raise their eyebrows, there’s nothing wrong with having ‘out there’ conversations. To a point anyway.

And things can get a little far out

It’s when she gets into the alien territory that things get a little kooky for our tastes. In June, Patrick had entrepreneur Kashif Khan as a guest to discuss his knowledge of human DNA. Khan by the way is the CEO of The DNA Company, a company that claims to use your specific DNA to create personalised medicine.

Alien-edited DNA

Khan believes aliens edited human DNA just before the start of recorded history to restrict lifespans to a maximum of 120 years.

Just being a good host?

Patrick, for her part, is not exactly dismissive of it, and even hypothesizes on the existence of human-alien hybrids in ancient societies. And while that’s perhaps just her way of being a good interviewer and getting the most out of her subjects, it’s not like this was a one-off.

Aliens living among us

In a July 2022 episode she spoke with Elizabeth April, an author and clairvoyant who spoke about the probability of aliens living among humans, having been recruited from a galactic organization to try and influence the trajectory of Earth.

Interested in a range of extraterrestrial conspiracies

Over the last couple of years, Patrick has invited a number talks about extraterrestrial conspiracies, such as how the moon landing was faked, aliens building the pyramids, and how the truth about UFOs is being kept from the public, amongst a host of other similar.

Maybe it's not that far out?

Although given recent congress hearings on the Pentagon withholding information from the public about the existence of aliens and UFOs, maybe there’s something to the latter.

Conspiracy theory driven consumerism?

Of course, it’s all well and good to have conversations that explore the possibilities of the universe, it’s when people use unknowable or unsupported claims to promote their businesses and sell products that makes us feel icky.

A genunine interest

It must be said that it does seem like Patrick has a genuine interest in all things otherworldly though, something which may have been influenced by her near-death accident in 2005.

Hit a wall at 150 Gs!

Reflecting on the incident in 2019 while eating some scorpions with Bear Grylls (yes, that’s right), she explained that after hitting a wall at ‘almost 150gs’ she woke up in the medical unit with the IndyCar Pastor presiding over her.

Came back from heaven

“I was like what’s going on! “Dude I thought I was in heaven for a second,” she said.

A mix of backgrounds

Patrick, to her credit, speaks with people from reputable scientific backgrounds including astrophysicists and biologists, as well as those who specialize in ‘alternative’ medicines and ‘spiritual’ sciences.

Just keeping an open mind?

It could just be that Patrick is doing her best to keep an open mind to discover more about life and is leaving no stone unturned, we would just like to advise a little listener discretion for anybody looking to go down this path. The truth is out there...
