Let's start with Donald Trump himself

Born in 1946, former U.S. President Donald Trump has a very large family of his own. He has had three wives and now has a total of 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Before becoming president, Trump was a businessman and TV personality. He has a degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance.

The career of Donald Trump

During his professional career, Trump built and managed hotels, casinos, golf courses, and office towers. He also ran two beauty contests: Miss USA and Miss Universe. In 2016, Forbes considered him the 324th richest person in the world. Trump was always interested in politics and in 2016 he made the step onto the Republican presidential ticket.

Fred Trump (father)

Born in New York City in 1905, Fred Trump was a real estate entrepreneur and co-founder of the Trump Organization, the family business he ran with his mother, Elizabeth Christ Trump. Initially, the company built family homes in Queens, but later it expanded into other types of construction. During World War II, Trump helped build barracks and apartments for the U.S. Navy.

In 1936, Trump married the Scottish Mary Anne MacLeod. The couple had five children, including Donald Trump. His father suffered from Alzheimer's disease and passed away from severe pneumonia in 1999. At the time of his death, he had an estimated fortune of 250-300 million dollars.

Donald Trump's mother was born in 1912 on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. Coming from a poor and very large family, Mary Anne was the second of ten children. With several sisters already living in the United States, she decided to move there in 1930. Among her first jobs were housework and caring for children. On one of her trips to New York City, Mary Anne met Fred Trump. She was only 18 years old when they decided to get married.

Donald Trump's parents were married in 1936. A year later Maryanne, their first daughter, was born. They had four more children. The president's mother took care of the house and her children, although from time to time she helped her husband in his business. Mary Anne MacLeod had osteoporosis and suffered serious injuries after being robbed in 1991, but it was not until 2000 that she died in New York at the age of 88.

Donald Trump's brother, Fred Jr. (on the right), was born in 1938 and passed away in 1981. He was only 42 years old when he died. The cause of death, reportedly, was an addiction to alcohol.

Fred Jr.'s daughter, Mary L. Trump (niece)

Fred Trump Jr.'s daughter Mary published an infamous memoir about the family in 2020. The book, titled 'Too Much and Never Enough,' describes "decades of family dysfunction and brutality that ... turned Donald Trump into a reckless leader," the New York Times reports.

Robert Trump (brother)

Robert Trump is the younger brother of Donald Trump. He was born in 1948 and worked in the family business. Media like the New York Times claim that he and Donald Trump had been distant for years but reconciled when Donald ran for president.

Robert Trump passed away in August 2020 at the age of 71. He had no children. After a marriage of 25 years to Blair Trump, he had remarried in 2020 to Ann Marie Pallan. Though he was not a very public figure, he helped Donald Trump in his attempt to block the memoir by their niece Mary.

Maryanne Trump is the older sister of Donald Trump. She was born in 1937 in New York and attended the women's college of Mount Holyoke. She is a lawyer and former judge of the United States Court of Appeals. In addition, she returned to academia to pursue a doctorate at Hofstra University in 1974.

Maryanne Trump was an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey and she was confirmed by the Senate in 1983. In 1999, she was nominated by President Bill Clinton for the Third Circuit. However, she retired from active judicial service in 2019, amidst investigations into her possible involvement in fraudulent tax schemes with her brothers. Maryanne has been married twice and had a child in her first marriage.

Elizabeth (on the left) is the second sister of Donald Trump. She was born in 1942. In 1989, she married documentary filmmaker James Walter Grau at the age of 47. She worked as an executive at the Chase Manhattan Bank, after which she decided to retire in the state of Florida.

Elizabeth and her sister Maryanne are quite discreet about their relationship with their younger brother Donald. In fact, until recently, little was known about the sisters' existence.

Melania Trump (current wife)

Melania Trump, Donald Trump's current wife, is a former model of Slovenian origin. She was born in 1970 and has one son with the president: Barron. She met Donald Trump at a party in 1998 and married him in 2005.

Melania Trump started her modeling career at the age of 16 in Slovenia. Two years later she was chosen as the image of the nationally renowned clothing firm Vezenine Bled. Later in her career, Melania set up a jewelry and skincare line, although she was not allowed to continue these businesses after she became the First Lady in 2017.

Barron was born in 2006 in the marriage of Melania and Donald Trump. He's the couple's only son and the youngest of Donald Trump's five children. Barron moved with his parents into the White House in Washington, D.C. a few months after his father became president. There, he went to St. Andrew's Episcopal private school in the Potomac neighborhood. His parents chose this school because they wanted Barron to be able to have a normal life and interact with his classmates.

Ivana Trump (Donald Trump's ex-wife)

Ivana Trump, born in Czechoslovakia in 1949, was a model, skier, writer, designer, and entrepreneur. She became best known for her marriage and divorce to Donald Trump. Her talent in skiing got her as far as the substitute for the 1972 Munich Olympics team. After studying sports science in Prague, she married a Canadian family friend to escape the communist country.

After separating from her Canadian husband and moving to New York for the promotion of the Montreal Olympics bid, Ivana met Donald Trump. She married him in 1977. Ivana managed the Trump Castle and the Plaza Hotel. She had 3 children with Donald Trump. In 1991 the couple divorced due to rumors of Trump's infidelity. Ivana would continue with her business, write several novels, and remarry twice. On the 14th of July, 2022, Ivana passed away.

Ivanka Trump was born in 1981 in Manhattan and is the second daughter of Ivana and Donald Trump. She is a wealthy businesswoman, model, and politician. Ivanka Trump met Jared Kushner in 2008 and married him shortly after. In the same year of her wedding, she converted to Judaism to share her partner's religion. They have three children, the firstborn in 2011.

Ivanka studied economics, modeled, and made television appearances on her father's show. She initially worked at Forest City Enterprises but eventually became the Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at The Trump Organization - the Trump family business.

Jared Kushner (son-in-law, Ivanka's husband)

Born in 1981 in New Jersey, Kushner is an American businessman of Jewish origin. Although he is mostly known for being the husband of Ivanka Trump and father of her three children, he is also the owner of Kushner Properties and the former publisher of The New York Observer.

Jared Kushner served on Trump's Board of Advisors during the 2016 election campaign and was his father-in-law's campaign manager. He has a close relationship with Donald Trump and even published an open letter in The New York Observer to defend Trump against accusations of anti-Semitism.

Born in 1977 in Manhattan, New York, he is the first of Ivana and Donald Trump's children. Donald Jr. is a businessman, economist, and television personality. He married Vanessa Trump, with whom he had five children, but they divorced in 2018.

Vanessa Trump was born in 1977 in Manhattan. She is an actress, model, and businesswoman. Her stepfather is a known lawyer who defended stars like Marilyn Monroe. Vanessa Trump was married to Donald Jr. from 2005 to 2018.

Eric Trump is Donald Trump's third son with his first wife, Ivana Trump. Eric was born in 1984 in New York. He is an entrepreneur who studied at Georgetown University. Eric Trump also runs a vineyard, the Trump Winery, in the state of Virginia. In 2006 he created the Eric Trump Foundation to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Later it was revealed that he had channeled a big sum of the foundation's money to his family's business, causing a scandal. In 2014, Eric married his current wife Lara with whom he has two children.

Born in 1982 in Wilmington, Lara Trump is a television presenter and producer for Real News Update. After six years of dating Eric Trump, she married him in 2014. In 2017 they had a son and in 2019 a daughter.

Lara studied at North Carolina State University and the French Culinary Institute in New York. She worked as a story coordinator at Inside Edition News until 2006. Known as an animal lover, she has spoken out on behalf of organizations that support animal rights. Given the (leopard and rare sheep) hunting experiences of Eric and Donald Jr., there must have been more than a few awkward conversations about animal rights at the Trump family dinner table.

Marla Maples (Donald Trump's second ex-wife)

Marla Maples was born in 1963 in the southern state of Georgia in the U.S. She is an actress, model, and TV personality who got married to Trump in 1993. The couple had a daughter, but the marriage did not last long. In 1999 they divorced due to Marla Maples' alleged infidelity with her bodyguard.

Marla Maples competed in various beauty contests and won Miss Hawaiian Tropic in 1985. She was also a finalist for Miss Georgia USA in 1984. As an actress, she appeared in films like 'Happiness' (1998) and 'Black and White' (1999). Apart from these jobs, she ran a line of maternity clothes in 1993.

Tiffany Trump (daughter with Marla)

Like her mother and her half-sister Ivanka, Tiffany has also become a model. Born in 1993, she is Donald Trump's fourth daughter and the only child he had with his second wife Marla Maples. Having graduated with a major in Sociology, she entered Georgetown Law School in Washington DC in 2017.

Tiffany Trump also tried the music business, releasing the single 'Like a Bird' in 2011. It was not very successful and received quite a bit of criticism for its use of auto-tune. In 2015, Tiffany posed for Vogue and modeled at Andrew Warren's New York Fashion Week show.

Frederick Trump (grandfather)

Now, let's go a little back in time to see Donald Trump's interesting family members. Frederick Trump (née Drumpf) was a businessman who came to the U.S. from Germany at the age of 16. He worked as a barber until he managed to start a successful restaurant and hotel business in Seattle. He would be the grandfather of Donald Trump.

After starting his business in the U.S., Frederick returned to Germany where he married Elizabeth Christ. The couple moved directly back to the U.S., and it wasn't voluntary. in fact, Frederick Trump was expelled from Germany because as a boy he had run off to the U.S. to get out of German military service. After their move back to the U.S., the couple settled in Queens, New York. Frederick died in 1918.

John G. Trump (uncle)

John George Trump is Donald Trump's uncle. He worked as an electrical engineer, inventor, and physicist. An acclaimed professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), John G. Trump was known for being the creator of the first million-volt X-ray generators. He may have been the most illustrious of the extended Trump family, but he was always overshadowed by the glamor and scandals of his family members.

John Trump studied at New York University's Tandon School of Engineering in 1929 and earned a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in Massachusetts. During World War II, he helped develop radar technology. He married Elora Sauerbrun and had three children. After a long career at MIT (pictured), John G. Trump died in Boston in 1985.
