Back to her modelling roots

Milan fashion week is always one to watch, not only for the new styles (this time, preparing the world for the Spring/Summer 2022 lines), but also for the celebrities who attend. Singer Dua Lipa did more than just attend, she opened and closed the Versace show.

A huge honour

This honour for Dua Lipa was given to her by Donatella Versace and the singer looked completely in her own shoes as she walked the catwalk. At the end of the show the designer and singer shared an embrace, cementing her place among the world's elite.

Fierce

In fact, the singer had previously done a number of modelling jobs, but she didn't find it all that rewarding in the beginning. She said in an interview with Bazaar, 'Some people get it so wrong when they write and they go, "She had a really successful modelling career," I'm like, people don't understand that it really wasn't that. It was totally part of my journey, but it wasn't what helped me get to where I am.' We take a look at 30 photos that show us exactly where Dua Lipa is right now and the icon she has become.

Birth and age

The Cellist

7. The cello was the first instrument Dua Lipa played. However, she had to give it up because of issues transporting it - due to her short stature.

Music training

8. She was trained in music from an early age and it was clear to her that this was her talent, her vocation and her future.
