Drive? No thanks! These celebs refuse to get behind the wheel

This British comedian has repeatedly said that he does not have a license and does not plan on getting one. He joked on the Graham Norton Show: "You can't drink and drive, so what's the point?"

Loads of people fear flying. Not Javier Bardem. Instead, this ‘No Country for Old Men’ superstar told the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung: “My greatest nightmare is dying in a car accident. That’s why I’ve never sat behind the wheel. Only in movies.”

“In movies, they clear everything. I just have to drive straight. But throw a curve at me? I’m toast,” he told the German paper in 2008.

American actress and comedian Tina Fey let her driver’s license expire and ditched the idea of renewing it because, as she told Jerry Seinfeld on ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,’ she barely remembers how to drive.

Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, has a license but prefers to leave the driving to others. Why? He simply doesn’t like it. Like many of the others on the list, he tends to hang around big cities where driving isn’t always helpful like London or New York.

Veteran actress Judy Dench has had to give up everyday tasks like reading or driving due to her failing vision caused by macular disease. "A couple of years ago I stopped driving, which was one of the most traumatic moments of my life. It was absolutely appalling," she told Radio Times in 2019. "But I just know I'll kill somebody if I get behind the wheel of a car now."

Despite appearing behind the wheel in several movies, ‘Pearl Harbor’ actress Kate Beckinsale still hasn't gotten her driver's license. She does manage to get around, including on Ubers.

But he's not passionate about driving and even though one of his song lyrics mentions "driving 90 down country lanes" he put out blue signs saying "drive safe" to promote his album.
