James Middleton, Kate's brother who finally found happiness: his full story
After more than a year of waiting, Kate and Pippa's brother has finally tired the knot! Third time lucky for the couple who have had to delay their plans twice due to to Coronavirus. His close family, including Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and James' brother-in-law Prince William were all believed to be in attendance.
The wedding was going to take place in July 2020, but the pandemic forced the couple to postpone it. The surprise wedding came over a year later when James Middleton posted a photo on Instagram in which we can see the beaming couple (with, of course, one of their dogs in the background) on their wedding day.
On Sunday 12th September 2021, James posted an image of the two on their special day with the caption "Mr & Mrs Middleton [heart emoji]. Yesterday I married the love of my life surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village of Bormes-les-Mimosas. Words cannot describe how happy I am." Kate and Pippa's brother has written the most beautiful page of his life story.
Born on April 15, 1987, James William Middleton is the younger brother of Pippa and Kate Middleton. His biography has some tragic elements but also bright moments and a love that appears to have saved him.
He can be considered a celebrity but the fame of his sisters leaves him a bit in the background. In any case, James Middleton is very close to his two sisters.
James Middleton has always had a special affinity with his sister Pippa. They are often spotted together at public events.
James Middleton has chosen to live his life in relative normality, away from royalty and glamour. He only appears in front of the camera on special occasions like weddings, baptisms, communions and Christmas.
Sport and animals are two of James Middleton's passions - if we can believe his Instagram stories. He absolutely loves dogs, that's for sure. He says they help people cope with mental disorders.
It was not his first business endeavor. After going to school at St Andrews and Marlorough College, he spent only one year at the University of Edinburgh University before dropping out and starting a business. It was 2006 and James launched a startup for the first time. It would be the first of a series of failures.
In 2013, James Middleton (then 26) launched a personalized gift company together with Andy Bell. It was called 'Boomf'. Although the first two years were promising, the company would report losses of three million pounds between 2015 and 2018.
James Middleton's latest business project is a platform for dog well-being and happiness. With sustainable and eco-friendly products, the idea is to give freeze-dried food to pets. It includes fresh and dehydrated products like apples, seeds, chicken, and carrots. A rare dog food approach set up by someone who famously loves dogs.
Over the years, James Middleton has become one of the most stylish public figures in the UK. Elegant and very natural, this young businessman seems to appeal to everyone.
One of the problems Middleton encountered while studying is, according to his own account, dyslexia. It might explain why he left University so soon.
But there's a darker side to James Middleton's personality. In an interview with Tatler magazine, he revealed that he had suffered from depression between 2003 and 2016. The illness included episodes of deep grief. One of the triggers of the depression was the moment his elder sister Kate announced her relationship with Prince William. James was only 16 years old. "Suddenly, the public judged whether I was a success or a failure"
James Middleton decided to tell the world about his depression, through Kate and William's charity 'Heads Together.' "I know I am blessed and live a privileged life, but that does not make me immune to depression," he tells the Daily Mail. "It's complicated to describe, it's just sadness. An illness."
What was his greatest support during the depression? His dogs. "They are incredible companions and, in terms of rehabilitation, they go far beyond what humans can do," he says in the Daily Mail. "Without my dogs today I wouldn't have the confidence to tell what happened to me. I can say without fear that the dogs have saved my life."
James Middleton has five dogs: Ella, Zulu, Inka, Luna and Mabel. Four cocker spaniels and a golden retriever. But, actually, a new member has entered the family. Take a look at the following picture.
During the coronavirus crisis, James Middleton invited a new member to his family. "Meet Nala, daughter of Zulu and granddaughter of Ella," he posted on Instagram. "I can't wait to share new adventures with her and the rest of the gang."
After breaking up with presenter Donna Air (pictured), James Middleton met Alizee Thevenet in 2018. Their romance was like one in the movies. They were both at the South Kensington Club and Alizee greeted one of James's cocker spaniels with great affection. Since then, they haven't been apart.
James and Alizee made their relationship official in May 2019 when they went to the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor and Thomas Kingston as a couple. Months later, in October, they announced their engagement. The two shared this photo on Instagram and it features a nice ring on the foreground.
Alizee Thevenet was born in France (1990) but lived in different places in the world and speaks several languages. She works in finance. Her influence on James is so great that he even shaved his beard for her. He hadn't shaved in seven years.
James Middleton shared a video on Instagram in which he captured Alizee's reaction to his shave. Surprise and laughter. And love.
James and Alizee live together in West London and were supposed to get married in July 2020. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic forced them to reschedule. But that didn't change anything about their love. With six dogs and his fiancee, James Middleton has managed to resurge from years of depression and uncertainty.
